December 15, 201114 yr Favorite president and it's not even close. I've wanted to read that one for a long time. Let us know what you thought once you're finished. Starts where Edmund Morris left off at the end of "The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt", with the park ranger coming up the mountain with the telegram informing TR that McKinley had died and he was now President of the United States. It ends as Teddy, Edith and the boys leave Washington on inauguration day 1909. Keep a French to English dictionary handy as Morris uses a bunch of French phrases though out. It's a great read. I recommend it to anyone who wants to see what a truly great President is like. I found it ironic that the day after I finished the book, President Obama gave his speech in Osawatomie.

December 15, 201114 yr I just finished the first book in the series before I started Eragon. I also recently finished the first two in the King and Maxwell series. David Baldacci is also moving up my list of favorite authors I've read the fourth one, First Family, in that series, without realize that it was part of a series. I will need to read the other three. I have the two books from the A. Shaw series which I plan on reading as well. The first book I read of his was Absolute Power and I was hooked ever since.
