August 18, 200917 yr A healthy Favre isn't a top 10 (probably not top 15 IMO) QB anymore.... You also have to remember that he was trying to learn a new offense in NY last year. He even said it was like trying to learn a new language. The offense in MN is the same as he ran in GB.

August 18, 200917 yr With last year possibly being an exception, Favre will not be the main focus of the defense like he has been his whole career. I think he will see a lot of openings that haven't been there in the past. Should be fun to watch.

I initially was going to question the Roethlisberger selection (just to tick people off).....but cooperstown might be right....who do you put him after? Maybe Schaub or Cassel (because they are relatively unproven) but, at this point, that's it...

He's not a top 5 fantasy QB by any means, but the NFL isn't all about stats. I just felt this was a good time for me to throw my hat in the "I support Roethlisberger" argument.

As yourself this question: is Brett Favre, considering even his age and injury problems, better than Tavaris Jackson and Sage Rosenfels? To me, the answer is a RESOUNDING "Yes." From a signing standpoint, why does anything else matter?

From a signing standpoint, why does anything else matter? Once again, not agreeing with UKMustang- but what he is saying is that, while Favre is better than Sage or T. Jackson, the Vikings would be a team with a 1st round exit with or without him. Favre is better than the current options, but not good enough to get them out of the 1st round.
