Gas prices in NKy

Featured Replies

I just got back from Myrtle Beach, SC and gas was higher in Ky. when I filled up before leaving than any other area I saw. Even on the beach the price was lower than in Ky.?? Oh BTW it was averaging 2.37 to 2.45 and was 2.49 in Myrtle Beach. :idunno:

In Mason, Oh gas is $2.52-$2.59 off the Fields Ertel exit....$2.42 if you get it from Kroger with the plus card.

Gas is $2.59 in the Crittendent & Dry Ridge Area's today. It has been that price for the most part of the last 3 weeks or so.

Holding steady in Florence area in the 2.70's the gouge continues.

Trigg County (wky) has the state's third highest unemployment rate and the highest gas prices west of I-65.

Some of you must be reading diesel prices or car washes because Northern Kentucky has for the past year or so has had outrageously high gas prices compared to Lexington,Ohio or even Maysville. Campbell County needs to be investigated because that's where things start getting higher. I know all of the rich live in this area, but come on.

2.39 in St. Louis area on the Missouri side and 2.59 on the Illinois side.

Purchased gas today for 2.46 along Interstate 64 in Indiana near the Illinois border. Saw it as low as 2.43 but it was a off brand gas station. The highest price I saw from Florence to Golconda, Ill (310 mile trip one way other than what was the price in Florence 2.74) was along Interstate 71 near the Ky Speedway and it was 2.69. Most prices ranged from 2.60 to 2.43 per gallon.

Don't understand why but our gas (Florence/Boone County) is ridiculously high.

I was in Florida last week and had to fill up my car. I instinctively pushed the option on the far left.....which is usually the cheapest. Evidently that is a new change in gas pumps....it is the most expensive choice there! Keep your eyes open.

Good to know for my trip back to KY on Tuesday/Wednesday.

Gas always seems to be cheaper in "south Alexandria" on Rt. 27 than a few miles farther north on 27, still in Alexandria. Sometimes 20 cents cheaper.

At least 15-20 cents more after you leave Bracken County and go north on AA,always has been. Something fishy has been going on in Campbell County for quite awhile, don't know why more isn't said or done.

Another reason the 10th region tournament should be in Maysville instead of at NKU.:D:D:D:D:lol::lol::lol:

Not really. If you have the cheaper gas then you should have to drive.:D

I just don't get it, why in the heck are we in NKy paying so much more for our gas than or neighbors to the North in Ohio (which BTW has a higher State tax on gas) and or own citizens in the rest of the Commonwealth?

I realize we in NKy are saving the World by using airated gas but from what I have read, that increase cost is only around 8 to 10 cents more.

So why the big difference in price? The trend in NKy is up and up and up.
