July 3, 200917 yr I just don't get it, why in the heck are we in NKy paying so much more for our gas than or neighbors to the North in Ohio (which BTW has a higher State tax on gas) and or own citizens in the rest of the Commonwealth? Link from WXIX on gas prices in and around NKy Link from GasBuddy.com I realize we in NKy are saving the World by using airated gas but from what I have read, that increase cost is only around 8 to 10 cents more. So why the big difference in price? The trend in NKy is up and up and up. Unleaded Gasoline Average Prices Kentucky USA Trend Today Yesterday One Week Ago One Month Ago One Year Ago 2.576 2.595 2.608 2.601 4.069 2.616 2.615 2.629 2.553 4.106
July 3, 200917 yr I work in Cincinnati. Prices over there are $2.59 over in NKY its $2.74. The best part is oil has dropped 3 dollars in the last few days but the gas stations haven't bothered to drop prices yet, since they know its 4th of July travel. Oil goes up just a buck and they raise it .10 cents next day. Gotta love being gouged, I am waiting till Monday to buy gas.
July 3, 200917 yr I just travelled to Colorado from Kentucky on Wednesday. It seemed to me that the farther west I was, the lower the gas prices. One place in town today was at $2.34.
July 3, 200917 yr I don't know where the heck you all are getting your gas at, but it's 2.47 in NKY today, I just filled up, and all 5 stations had the same price.

July 3, 200917 yr Alexandria and Cold Spring both had it at $2.47, hasn't been higher than 2.57 for as long as I can remember. Here is a funny one for you. Shell in Alexandria has it at $2.47 and $2.17 with car wash. The new Speedway which is a par 5 away has it at $2.47. The Speedway up by AA which is 3-5 miles away has it at $2.59. I filled up at the Shell today and was looking for the best price in Alexandria.:thumb:
July 3, 200917 yr I'm not sure why, but you can buy gas in Campbell County (Cold Springs area) cheaper than Kenton County. I've noticed this for a long time when shopping in the area.

July 3, 200917 yr When I went by that Speedway it was $2.47.... They must have changed it since 10:00 AM this morning, cause was planning on getting gas there and turned around and went back to the Shell station because of the price difference.
