July 10, 200917 yr I don't know about other NKY folks, but I am extremely happy that the rest of the state views us more as Ohioans than Kentuckians...:idunno: One way I can upset my wife is to call her a Buckeye (she was born in Portsmouth, also known as Porchmouth by those in Lewis and Greenup Counties). Just about brings her to tears. $2.55.9 in Maysville today. Edited July 10, 200917 yr by mcpapa I was a penny off.
July 10, 200917 yr Got back from Bardstown and it was in the $2.40 range there. Filled up before heading back to NKY at Walmart in Georgetown at $2.39. $2.54 up here.

And you didn't stop by to say hi? It was $2.49 most places yesterday when I filled up. Don't tell me it dropped today after holding at that price for more than a week. :madman:
July 10, 200917 yr I filled up at the Kroger in Middleboro last weekend for 2.19....Its about 2.39 here in Cynthiana.
July 10, 200917 yr Federal excise taxes are 18.4 cents per gallon and State excise taxes average about 21 cents per gallon. So add about .40 to the wholesale price of fuel. Here is a good look at each state and what they charge in taxes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:US_Gasoline_Taxes_April_2009.svg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:US_Diesel_Taxes_April_2009.svg CNN.com usually has a pretty good site on the cost of wholesale gasoline and diesel. Typically gasoline and diesel sell retail for about $.60 to $.75 more than wholesale prices. When wholesale prices fall, the gas stations are not near as quick to lower their prices compared to when the wholesale price goes up. But if you watch the above link, if wholesale prices fall for several days to a week, that is usually reflected at the pumps about 5 -7 days later, IMO. I would expect to see prices at the pumps in KY to drop a little more next week. http://money.cnn.com/data/commodities/index.html

The quality of girl's golf in this state is amazing. The winner and the runnerup for the WOMEN's State Amateur was 2nd and 3rd at the JR Amateur this week.
July 10, 200917 yr I am not sure how this gouging is going on with a Bush in the White House to blame:D

The winner and the runnerup for the WOMEN's State Amateur was 2nd and 3rd at the JR Amateur this week. I noticed that too. I was out at Maywood on Thursday snapping pics.
July 11, 200917 yr I noticed that too. I was out at Maywood on Thursday snapping pics. I was looking for you but must have missed you. We went the opposite way of Gumm, Haas, Emerson grouping.
July 11, 200917 yr I am shocked to see parts of Erlanger and Florence are approaching the 2.40's. Maybe the people in Frankfort got more than my email.
July 12, 200917 yr Spent the day in Fairfield - Jungle Jim's, Ohio Valley Antique Mall and The Green Plantain (don't bother, unless you like to sit and wait and sit and wait and not get your order and not get refills). Gas $2.37 in several places in and around Fairfield.
