Featured Replies

Try this rumor on for size.

Cavs get: Michael Redd, Charlie Villanueva (Sign and trade), 3 player (Gadzuric?)

Bucks get: Ben Wallace, Anderson Varajao (Sign and trade), Pavlovic, another player (Kinsey?)

The season hasn't even been over for a day but the offseason rumor mill has started.

What do you think will be some of the deals that will be made this offseason? Will LeBron James resign? Will Kobe? Will the Cavaliers swing a deal for Shaq? Does Orlando lose Turkoglu? What do they do with Rafer Alston? Will the Rockets bring back Ron Artest? Does Jason Kidd get dealt or signed somewhere else? Will the Celtics resign Garnett? Will the Lakers bring back Ariza or Odom? Or both? Will Chris Bosh go to Miami, or Cleveland?

What deals/transactions do you see, or would like to see happen this offseason?

They don't have to resign him till next year.

Kobe doesn't have to resign for awhile either. I don't know how long, but it isn't this year.

Okay, lets set the story straight. This is what Spikes meant I think:

1. Cavs are trying to resign LeBron this offseason to a long term deal to eliminate the distraction of the '10 talk. They don't have to, he doesn't have to agree but the Cavs would love to go ahead and secure LBJ if possible.

2. Kobe had an opt-out clause for this season, which he has said he wouldn't take.

Thanks for playing.

I don't see LBJ signing anytime soon, if you were him would you? He's holding the hammer right now, which means good news for him but not good news for the Cavs.

Lots of crazy rumors out there right now. Nothing I would put much stock into though.

Chris Lofton will be playing in the NBA Summer League with Boston...

That's no fun. Just go ahead and report them as fact on here. I've got three weeks of nothing going on at work- I'm going to need some excitement.

Sweet. :ylsuper:

You are exactly right. He won't sign until next summer, but they are going to offer him.

That trade generator is broken, for me at least.

Anyways, Detroit Pistons are likely to show some interest in Boozer.

I would say that is his most likely destination.

The Hawks want Amare...

Celts want Dahntay Jones from Nuggets...

Wolves send Mike Miller, Randy Foye and Ryan Gomes to Boston for Ray Allen. (rumor)

Jones could be a defensive stopper for the C's, Miller can shoot, Foye is a nice backup PG-something Boston needs, and Gomes provides more youth and athleticism, Ray Allen had a good season this year, but his days are numbered in the NBA IMO. If the Hawks got Amare they would be the third best team in the East, they'd be better than Orlando and be right there with Boston and Cleveland. Smith could move to the three, Horford could move to the 4, which is where he should be and Amare would provide them with a more consistent offensive presence in the front court.

I still look for Washington to make a deal to someone to trade out of the top 5.

Well wouldn't they be the 2nd best team in the East then, as the Magic proved they were better than Cleveland just a couple weeks ago....

Kobe doesn't have to resign for awhile either. I don't know how long, but it isn't this year.

But the Cavs would most certainly want to go ahead and lock him up before the season starts to avoid all of the distractions that would come with him being a FA after the 2009-2010 season.

And Kobe has mentioned before that he would like to remain in LA for the remainder of his career, so the Lakers might try to get that done as well.
