I think you're leaving out the part where they had him under contract for another year but they let him out of it b/c they reached an agreement w/ him. After he was let out of the one year remaining he went shopping around for more money than what he agreed to w/ the Cavs. I would hope they don't bring him back.

You can't cut off your nose to spite your face...if they had the opportunity to bring Boozer in and didn't because of a past grudge, do you think that would help them in their efforts to retain Lebron past 2010? I doubt it.

 

You don't pass up an opportunity to make your team a champion. Plain and simple. And, giving him a legitimate sidekick, would probably help a lot in keeping Lebron, which has to be their top priority.

The Knicks

Go after a big name player. Not LeBron, it's seems to out of reach to me. Go for a guy like Tracy McGrady, Amare Stoudemire, or Chris Bosh. I'm sure the Knicks could cut a deal for one of those guys, and then have a solid pick in the draft if they don't trade it away.

 

The Cavs

Please, please, please, trade big Z and Wally. Bron should stay in Cleveland, so land him a solid big guy, and a solid wingman to go along with him and Mo. I could see the Cavs going for Shaq, which is what I heard. Maybe a trade that would sent Z, Wally, some cash, or a draft pick, and get him. I wouldn't mind throwing West in there as well, since I would much rather have Booby Gibson getting more minutes than Delonte. As for the wingman, I wouldn't mind seeing the Cavs sign Bruce Bowen, or Richard Jefferson.

 

The Nuggets

Bring in two solid bench guys. The starting five will be among the best in the league next season, just adding two more nice bench players would skyrocket this team IMO. Start Billups, Smith, Melo, Martin, and Nene, then bring Anderson and Jones off the bench. Then sign someone like Kurt Thomas, DeShawn Stephenson, Chuck Hayes, or Kelenna Azubuike. Two of those four would be huge bench additions, and could battle for starting spots.

 

The Bobcats

Bring in two solid guys, and this is a playoff team without a doubt. They need to keep Bell and Radmanovic. I would go after guys like Speedy Claxton, Roger Mason, Steve Blake, and John Salmons. Not big name players, but guys who can really play well and could shine in a place like Charlotte.

 

1. Gibson cannot play over West. Gibson is a streaky shooter and plays no defense. He's only still there because he's LeBron's best friend on the team. West is a decent scorer and can guard most 2's in the league. Turk was 6-10, so that's a bad matchup.

 

As for your Bobcats, expect them to try to get a deal for Varajao. They've tried to get him the past two seasons. It will come with a price though. Cavs will want either Wallace or Bell, I don't know if the Bobcats would give either up.

Boozer and the Cavs did each other wrong. The Cavs tried to low ball him offering like 24 million over 5 years, telling him that was his market value. They had a mutual agreement to let him out, and Utah offered like 60 million for 5 years. Which would you take? Morals tells us we'd take the Cavs, but the NBA is a business. You better make all the money you can because your property to NBA owners.

 

Also, the Cavs are under new ownership sense then. If LeBron is cool with it, the rest of Cleveland will be too.

To be honest the big rumor is a trade of Ginobili. Popovich has denied this, but said you have to be willing to listen to offers during the off season. "People get in trouble when the say never", he said to ESPN.

Ariza would be a great fit for the Spurs.

I agree with the Spurs needing to go young. They are way to old to keep up with the teams in the West.
