June 23, 200917 yr Author Well wouldn't they be the 2nd best team in the East then, as the Magic proved they were better than Cleveland just a couple weeks ago.... But if Turkoglu leaves they will take a hit, adding Amare to a roster that already has Joe Johnson, Mike Bibby, Al Horford and Josh Smith would be better than one with Nelson, Lee, Lewis and Howard. If Turk stays, then yes, they are the best team in the East.
June 23, 200917 yr I heard this morning that Boston offered Rondo and Allen to Detroit for Prince, Rip, and Stuckey, but it didn't go through.

June 23, 200917 yr Well wouldn't they be the 2nd best team in the East then, as the Magic proved they were better than Cleveland just a couple weeks ago.... Cavs will not stand pat. They will make some moves to TRY to get passed the Magic this year. They have some great expiring deals, and Varajao who for some crazy reason teams actually want. Cavs are an athletic big and a legit starting 2 guard away from thoroughly dominating the Eastern Conference. The Lakers proved when you have someone who can size up with Howard and Turk the Magic go away pretty quickly. Celts could probably get Dahntay Jones pretty cheap. The Nuggets need to get under the luxury tax.
June 23, 200917 yr That'd be a horrible move by Ainge if that's true. Really? I think they would get the better end of the deal. Prince and Stuckey have alot of years left, Hamilton is a small step down from Allen. Rondo had a great season, but having Prince and Stuckey would make up for that.

Rondo had a great season, but having Prince and Stuckey would make up for that. Rondo is a lot better than Stuckey IMO, sure Prince has more years than Pierce, but where would he start? Hamilton's your 2 and Pierce is your 3, I think LeBron would be the only 3 in the league that the Celtics would probably start over Pierce. I say if you can get it done without sending Rondo, package Perkins, Allen, Big Baby or Mikki Moore or both, for Amare and pick up Skip to give you a solid backup PG.

Prince off the bench would be nasty. He can play the 3 or even the 4 if you're playing a team like the Magic. Stuckey isn't Rondo, but it's not like Rondo is CP3, Deron Williams, or Jason Kidd or even Derrick Rose.
June 23, 200917 yr Just saw on sportscenter that the trade went threw or at least I think it said that I am at a cafeteria and it is muted.

June 23, 200917 yr Richard Jefferson to the Spurs for Thomas, Bowen, and Oberto. Reported on ESPN.Com.

June 23, 200917 yr This is a bad deal IMO. For who? It looks pretty good for both teams to me. The Spurs adds an athletic wing who can run the floor and score. And, he just turned 29, so he's got some good years left. Milwaukee saved some money and cleared some cap space to allow them to re-sign Charlie Villanueva and get Joe Alexander on the court. It makes sense to me.
