Track The Reds (Week 9)

Anyone else think Bruce should learn to slide? Kinda looked odd at 2nd and then again at home.

No reason to slide at home. The play was right in front of him. Good thing he was going on contact. :sssh:

Todays game was a really fun game to watch right from the start.

Maloney throws 5 straight change ups to strike out Soriano with the Bases juiced. Awesome job!!

That was in fact awesome. I went out and told my stepdad about that when they went to the commercial break.

If Bruce slides, then the 4-foot-4 Fontenot can throw over him for the out.

The throw was made before he was even close to the plate. Maybe Im way off and not so much at home but he just looked lazy going into 2nd. I guess a long day in the sun may have my eyes off a little bit

Honestly I think it is pretty amazing this team is over .500 right now with all the things that have taken place. I don't think Dusty has gotten enough credit at all.

I agree, this team has been through alot. If they get healthy, could be REALLY good. At the same time, if they find a rhythm with this group hate to throw that off.

What is Chris Dickersons relationship to Eric?

Dunno but Dickerson has been playing GREAT as of late. Think he should stay there until he LOSES his spot.

I thought that for a while, but I actually think they are better than their record indicates and he has cost them a minimum of 4 games. I think they win in spite of him and not b/c of him.

Dusty just seems resistent to change. Patterson, McDonald and now Weathers. Masset can come in a get a strikeout by blowing people away with great stuff. Weathers has to make a perfect pitch to get people out. He pitches to contact and they is not good when you have people on base and Weathers usually has plenty on base.

The Reds tie it up in the 8th after being down 3-1...

Great AB by Phillips to lead off the 8th down a run. He got behind but wouldn't chase.

Too bad Hannigan couldn't put one in play w/ bases loaded and 1 out.

Yep...Just need to play good defense now...

This game's been a high-wire act for Reds pitchers. With all the baserunners they've stranded, it can't be said that the Cubs didn't have chances.
