Track The Reds (Week 9)

Featured Replies

I didn't notice BP being man enough to complain about the defense if LF last year when said 6'6 270 pound LFer shared the lockerroom with him for 6 months. I also didn't notice Dunn being quoted last year as saying it would be nice to have a 2nd baseman who could field AND hit.

I'm a Dunn guy but that's irrelevant. I'm not big on guys taking cheapshots against others in the media when they didn't have the cajones to say it to the guy's face .

Says a lot about BP.

Maybe he takes the George Costanza approach:"I feel much more Comfortable talking about someone behind their back".:D

I expect Alonso to be in the bigs by the end of the season.

Where exactly is he going to play? Over Votto, doubt that will happen. The argument at the time was we need a future SS and Beckham was that. It makes the argument even better now considering how great Votto has been. Unless he is moved to LF(Votto) I just don't know where Alonzo fits in right now. I think he can play some 3rd to so I guess that is an option.

Right now Votto isn't in the lineup. This may be more serious than people believe. Hopefully not, but no one knows when he will be back. If Alonso is in the future of the Reds, Votto will be moved to LF.

Move the best player on our team in hopes the new one will be better. I don't know about that.

It's not like he's never played LF before. Besides, Votto is a good athlete...given time he would adjust just fine to LF. Can't be worse than the last 8 or so years out there

How many games has Votto played in LF in the MLB and Minors?

Not sure of how many, but last season he played LF some in Louisville

Just looked it up...He's played 50 professional games in the OF

I was asking seriously I didn't know. I just don't see any reason to rush Yonder up he when we are obviously just fine at 1B and there are other option in the OF right now.

I agree...He shouldn't be rushed...but at the same time there's no reason to let him sit down there if he's being very successful. He's still got a lot to prove though.
