June 4, 200917 yr He just got up to AA on the 1st so he's got more work to do. Like I said earlier that Heisey kid is just crushing it right now in AA.

I really do think they should make a move for a right handed power bat to add to the lineup. The most logical position would be LF or 3B. It looks like they have 5 or 6 good arms in AA along with some other players that could be used as trade bait. I don't want them to trade away the farm for a half season rental...but this team can make a great run with one more consistant bat.
June 4, 200917 yr You can take it anyway you want, but it sure reads like a shot at Dunn. I thought it was also a shot at Chris Dickerson who has dropped a few flyballs out in left.
June 4, 200917 yr I think everyone believes they were a big part of the team. Now what part is where some disagreement comes into play. I think their laid back approach to the game, not running hard, moping around like they couldn't hardly walk, is what turned some people off about them. If those people think that doesn't have an effect on other players then they need to rethink the situation. I never once saw Dunn "mope around." He played 160 games per year. He showed up every day.
June 4, 200917 yr And you know he didn't say it to Dunn last year how exactly? So do you truly believe that he said publicly last year and we just didn't read it? I guarantee you that BP kept any of his problems with Dunn's defense to himself. I know he didn't have the guts to say them in public for print.
June 4, 200917 yr Someone who knows, will they please tell me his contract status? He signed an minor league contract originally that the Reds then purchased. Not sure if that makes it only a one-year deal or not.
June 5, 200917 yr So do you truly believe that he said publicly last year and we just didn't read it? I guarantee you that BP kept any of his problems with Dunn's defense to himself. I know he didn't have the guts to say them in public for print. Who said he had to say it publicly? I think it was a well-known fact that BP wasn't the most well liked guy in the clubhouse last year....Maybe it was because he wasn't afraid to say it to their faces. You know he didn't have the guts how? Isn't that ironic to say, when we sit on an internet message board and say stuff about pro athletes that we wouldn't say to their faces if given the chance?
June 5, 200917 yr 2-0 Red Birds Harang having trouble hitting spots again tonight....Jeff Brantley keeps talking about a mechanical problem in Harang's delivery
June 5, 200917 yr Carpenter is making the Reds look like Little Leaguers He has made everyone look like that since he's been back.
June 5, 200917 yr Good job by Harang to get out of that while only giving up one 3-0 Have some good AB's this inning
June 5, 200917 yr Good job by Harang to get out of that while only giving up one 3-0 Have some good AB's this inning Or not....Hairston swings at the first pitch Dickerson swings at the second pitch... Carpenter has only thrown like 67 pitches...That's pathetic on the Reds part...Work the count...
