May 24, 200917 yr He wasn't the most accurate quarterback in the NFL and his passing statistics weren't the best, but he changed the quarterback position for ever and I think he is the best athlete to ever set foot on the gridiron. Yes, he should be allowed to play.
May 24, 200917 yr I don't like anything that he has done, but he has served his time. There shouldn't be any reason for him to be banned from the NFL - except that he is a bad QB. Bad QB? I guess winning playoff games is bad. I guess being a once in a life time talent at QB is bad. Vick was not a polished passer, but he didn't have to be. He was a weapon unlike anything the NFL had ever seen. Those Falcon teams were not good. TJ Duckett and Warrick Dunn aren't terrible, but weren't great either. Algea Crumpler was his best target, sure handed and slow. Peerless Price hasn't been good since he was catchin passes from Tee Martin and Peyton Manning on Rocky top. Vick was a great QB, if you can overlook the stats.
May 24, 200917 yr If an owner is willing to take a chance on him, he should be able to play. I wouldn't blame any owner for not wanting the negative press.
May 24, 200917 yr Author Vick was a great QB, if you can overlook the stats. I'm a great singer if you can overlook my voice.
May 24, 200917 yr I'm a great singer if you can overlook my voice. Not the same... In sports, statistics are not everything. I know in todays sports scene all we ever hear about are statistics but there are other intangible things that can produce results. In Vicks case, the man won games. Anyway you want to try to slice it, he got to the playoffs and even won in the playoffs.

You don't need to wait until after the game to check stats to see that Vick is an "average at best" NFL qb.
May 24, 200917 yr Watch the game. You don't need to wait until after the game to check stats to see that Vick is an "average at best" NFL qb. Maybe now. A few years ago I think it was clear that he was above average. Correct me if I am wrong, but, wasn't Vick the only QB to beat Brett Favre at Lambeau with the temp. being under the freeze point? and being a playoff game? I don't think an average at best quarterback could have done this, especially one without much help. Vick was top ten the entire time he was in the league, no doubt.

I know the man allegedly did wrong and what not, but it kills me that people think he wasn't a good qb because he wasn't putting up Peyton or Brady numbers, but winning the same amount of games as them. Isn't his winning percentage something like 60% of his games. How is that not good?
May 24, 200917 yr He deserves and should be back in the NFL! He has paid his debt to society, for certain!
May 24, 200917 yr Author Isn't his winning percentage something like 60% of his games. How is that not good? Trent Dilfer had a great winning percentage with Baltimore.
