Wonder what type of evidence the police collected to charge this fellow? Sounds like he may have went off the deep end it he made these statements.

Better to be safe than sorry and remove him pending a full investigation and court proceedings.

I heard about this last night. Supposedly, he made statements to one or more classes about his "wishes."

From his statement, it wasn't necessarily a threat, but could be taken as one in my opinion.

 

Smart move by the superintendent.

In this day and age, better to act on it than find out if it was meant or a "joke".....

Best move was to get him the heck out of there.

Even if there's no evidence to charge him with a crime if he did say anything about wanting to kill people he has lost his right to be a teacher.

I wonder how much stress he has now.

No one in this day and time can take the chance on this guy not meaning this as an actual threat. I say ban him from teaching immediately and charge him with terroristic threatening, lock him up and let a judge and/or jury decide.

Was kinda thinking the same thing when I read the article.

Saw the report on the news tonight. Apparently he was really 'stressed' and it was triggered because someone took his 'dry erase markers'. Well, ... at least we have a reasonable cause for making potentially threatening comments. That clears it up for me!
