Sweet 16 expectations

Elite 8 I'm Happy

Final 4 I'm ecstatic

Finals Cal for Governor

Win it All (couches burning cars being flipped) and Cal for Prez!!

I picked Sweet 16, but now thinking of it, an Elite 8 would be nice..okie1 spelled it out but if Cal wins it all next year, he should rule the world.

Speaking of a "what if" if UK is Nat Champs next year, who gets the credit? :p

Going with the thread I am basing this on if Wall comes, but with Patterson back and more than likely Meeks, Kentucky will still be super good even without Wall. With this team, and in Cal's system I voted Elite 8 which should be easily realistic. Why you say? Not just because I am a typical Kentucky fan who expects the best, but because you are looking at potentially 3-4 lottery picks in the same starting lineup, with a couple more future professionals on the roster as well. As I've said in the past even though good teams win NCAA championships, good players win even more. With that much future pro talent on the roster there is no reason why the sky isn't the limit.

I think adding the number one recruiting class to a team that had two first team All Conference players makes them a final four contender. Anything less than an elite 8 would be a BIG disapointment.

My thoughts also !:thumb:

Voted Elite 8, but no matter how great the team it is never a lock in the tourney as anything can happen. With the depth this team appears to be developing though I hope they are a team that is able to withstand a bad outing from one or two key players and still win, something they clearly couldn't do the past few seasons.

I think this team is destined for at least an Elite Eight, and a likely Final Four. At this moment, that is what I imagine should happen.

With a few lucky breaks, and having a player capable of hitting their free throws, this is a championship team.

If they didn't make the final four I would be dissapointed. If they get Wall, they could have two top 25 teams on one team.

Wall, Bledsoe

Meeks, Hood

Miller, Dodson

Patterson, Pilgrim

Cousins, Orton.

Perry S., Ramon and Galloway will round out the last 3 scholarships. I can't wait for Midnight Madness to come!

Dick Vitale, ESPN's Hall of Fame commentator on college basketball, saw Patterson's return as making Kentucky a "legit top-10, top-15 team" next season.

Vitale noted that UK remains in contention for point guard John Wall, generally considered the nation's top high school prospect. Plus, Meeks could return.

"If they get John Wall and Jodie Meeks comes back, they'll be ready to take on the Atlanta Hawks," Vitale said. "Never mind the NCAA title. They'll be going for the NBA title."

I said National Champions because I feel like they are likely the most talented team next season at this point. However the most talented team doesn't always win. Although they did this season so I'm holding on to hope, I kinda think final 4 is pretty legit also.
