:thumb::thumb: I know that Cal is shooting for the stars, he has said that and I certainly agree about the fans.

I know that should we lose a couple of games there will he some of the usual fans (or alleged fans:irked:) start picking it apart and bashing, that is as sure as the sun will come up every day. Fans bashing U.K. coaches will always be there and with some, only the coaches name changes. That has always been the case and always will be, although it is a minority of the ones that do this they have the majority of the "mouth" and make all look bad.

Win it All (couches burning cars being flipped) and Cal for Prez!!

While not a lot of tournament experience is with this team, I really hope for at least a second weekend trip. Whether Wall comes or not, the big question will be, as it was this past season with PG play.

Look for a Sweet 16 appearance with maybe an Elite 8 in the mix if they get the right opponent to open weekend two. Tournament experience just isn't there for a run past 3 or 4 games yet...

 

With the talent they could have, a Final Four would be possible if things click and the young guys play "older".

 

But, it shouldn't be expected...

That imo is a realistic statement. As I said before, I am not going to go into with "we have to do this, go this far, win this many" and that stuff. I am a U.K. fan, always have been and always will be and I expect to win as much as anyone but am not going out with unrealstic statements and expectations for his season.

A lot of these expectations are based on players (although very high rated players) that have not went through one college practice or played one minute of major college basketball in their life :idunno:........and some are already crowning them champions?

Obviously that is premature, but let's remember that we are in a very different time now. Teams are built on one and done type players all the time these days.

I realize that as well. I just am not going to jump and claim greatness when a kid hasn't even played one game of college ball yet. No one really knows what they will do or how good they will be. That is all I was saying :thumb:.

Give it some time, and in two to four years I expect UK to be in the Final Four.

I put the Final Four but I believe that we will at least get to the Great 8. Final Four and Championship game will taste great though.

National Champs

With John Wall on board, I will say that if they play as capable, then they make it to the Elite Eight with a very good shot to go to the Final Four. There is no clear cut favorite right now, but, there are about 8-10 teams that have a good shot at making it to the Final Four.

I say round 2 because they will hit a struggle point in the season and end up with a 6 or 7 seed.

 

Kentucky will be more like a 1 or 2 seed, but no lower than a 3 seed.

 

This coming years team will not have struggle point. Maybe under the previous coach this could be true, but not under Coach Cal.
