Are there any players in the top ten in the 9th region who can drop 30-35 on Holmes?

Boone? Highlands? .... or even Ryle or Conner?

I highly doubt anyone is good enough in the 9th region to drop 30 or more on Holmes.

I agree.

So why does the fact that if Bryan can't drop those numbers againt them automatically eliminate him from the top 10 in the 9th region?

You raise a good argument, but i think most people feel that Bryan does it against lesser competition. If he played with the bigger schools much more often he wouldnt be able to score consistently like he does.

Not saying this is the truth, but this appears to be the opinion of some people.

Does anyone have Blake's shooting percentage? I am not knocking him at all. I read about his amazingly high ppg and I am just curious as to how many shots he was taking per game and what percentage he made. If this kid is hitting 50 percent from behind the arc, it really doesn't matter who he plays agaisnt. He will score points.

What does Beechwood know about Bryan that no one else does? They held him to 15pts/game last season.

His next lowest were 19pts/game at Calvary Christian and then 25pts/game at ludlow.

Perhaps excluding out-of-town teams that don't know anything about him, Beechwood was one of the better teams who made a better effort to defend him? His shooting percentages are not spectacular. I realize he was probably double-teamed and had less help, but he also played against weaker competition on average. I'm not trying to insinuate he is not a good player, but I think you can make a legitimate argument for about 20 players in NKY being in the top 10 in the 9th.

And based on these percentages, I'll surmise it took him a LOT of shots to score what ever his average was.

Looks like 674 shots on the year. His team played 28 games, so 24 shots per game, which is probably at least anywhere from 2 to 5 times more than any other player last year. Multiply the shooting percentages of many of the other kids on this list by that number of shots, and many of them would be scoring in that range.

I agree 100%

I would guess what the did versus Stephon Curry. Triangle and 2 with the 2 on Bryan. He didn't have the cast behind him to win close ball games.

I think it is not what Beechwood knows, it is who they had on their team. Romes was one of the best defensive players in the region last year.

Considering Romes did not guard Bryan at any point during the game, that was not the factor. Bwood triple teamed Bryan and left Romes and their big guy in the paint no other team did that throughout the year. That was the only team that did something like that and was the only team to have success at "stopping" Bryan. But if any other kid in the state has 15 pts it was considered a great game?

Triple teamed! Come on! If he was triple teamed that left two other players completely wide open. If he was a good point guard, he would have passed the ball and Villa would have won the game. Two guys can't guard four; I don't care how good they are. If he was shooting the ball while he was triple teamed he is not much of a team player.
