Until UK goes to a BCS bowl I don't think you can claim UK football was put ahead of UofL football. UofL simply declined, making UK ahead.

As to Rich Brooks putting UK above UL...I absolutely think he's the right coach @ UK, and defended him mightily when all the UK fans were calling for his head. That said, if anyone wants to be honest, Petrino leaving didn't hurt the Football Cats' situation.

There is no way UL fans are scared BUT... Coach Cal will be a force ro reckon with. Tubby or even a Gillispie is no contest for Rick Pitino but Cal is a heavy hitter just like Rick. Not many people can recruit better or even just as good as RP... Coach Cal is right there with him if not a better recruiter, this is why UK fans are energized. UK fans have endured a lack of talent for years.

I think "calling them out" is a waste of your time and simply gives them more reasons to go on doing the same things. It's that simple. You are helping the monster grow and perform at a faster rate.

 

And I'm not worried about your in game comments. I very rarely visit those threads anyways. I know what I've seen recently, and it's exactly what I said it was. I never meant to say you were taunting all UK fans, because obviously all UK fans aren't in the "18%".

Actually I think a lot of teams should be scared once Cal gets the ball rolling here. But I think UL with Ricky P will be one of the few programs that will be able to hang with the cats.

They may not change their views, but I'll still call them out for the looney stuff. They can feel free to come up with any "unrealistic beliefs" they want to. They're the ones who look silly because of it, because it certainly does a poor job of countering a valid point.

You need to look up the definition of "taunting" in the dictionary. It just feels like taunting because Wildcat fans seem to take every comment not supporting UK as a personal insult, as though it were on par with smacking around their mommas. If I were interested in taunting UK fans, I would have been filling up UK loss threads over the past few years with witty comments like "UK sucks," and stuff like that, as well as running down UK in UofL game threads and lording it over them during the last few wilderness years for UK hoops. I think you'll find that pretty much all my comments in game threads trend toward straight analysis, if you're willing to do the research.

I lived it Louisville and have a lot of great UofL friends that are die hard UofL fans. I listened to the call in shows for Lville. It goes both ways!

Sure there are nutjobs in the L'ville fanbase. But let's be honest, the size of the UK fanbase dwarfs the L'ville fanbase, making it pretty easy to go days at a time without running into any of them. It's impossible to hide from the 18-percenters, however, especially outside of the L'ville.

I can agree with that however the bottom line is both schools have nut job fans that rub other teams fans the wrong way. They both have some of the best fans out there. UK has more fans so it feels like they are more radical. Just as you get tired of the abrasive fans... I get tired of the stereotypes.
