I've also seen another variation along the lines of "all of college basketball is shaking in their boots." And it gets funnier each time. And we're supposed to believe that most Wildcat fans aren't arrogant as hell, and that they're not completely dismissive of each and every other college team? Sort of reinforces my belief that most UK fans aren't really college hoops fans; just UK fans. Keep 'em coming, guys. It never gets old. :lol:
April 2, 200917 yr Me personally...I am a college hoop fan, but a UK basketball fanatic! However, I do agree with you. Some of us tend to take it overboard at times.
April 2, 200917 yr Honestly I just don't see UofL shaking in their boots at this hire. I'm sure all its doing right now is fueling their fire and heightening, in their mind, the UK/UofL rivalry. What should they be scared of? They just came off one of their best seasons and have excellent players returning as well as great recruits coming in next season.

It never gets old. :lol: Most of what I've seen is "most" UK fans being very excited about the future of the program. And most threads start out going pretty well until someone from another school chimes in with the negitive Caipari talk. How many UL fans have said, "man this is great, glad to see UK get a great Coach"? I'll go out on a limb and say 0. UK fans are excited, why cant you except that and quit being so paranoid. You took the time to make this thread, if your not un-happy or bitter, or a little worried, then why?

It's a few of their fans who can't stand the fact, that UK may get back on top soon.

When did Calipari coach Louisville to a National Championship? When did Calipari leave Louisville for the NBA before coming back to coach at UK?:ohbrother:
April 2, 200917 yr As a U of L fan, I can tell you that I'm not scared one bit. I really don't care who Kentucky or any other school hires for a coach. I hope all Kentucky schools do well. My dream is to see Louisville and Kentucky play each other for a national championship.

April 2, 200917 yr I am a UL fan. I really don't have a dog in the hunt for the UK job. But i will say this, with Tricky Rick, Johnny C, and Tommy Boy, the bermuda triangle of college basketball is on its way back. We will start to re-live the Joe B., Denny, and Bobby era with the relevence this area will have and we can snuff out tobacco road. Also, I have never worried much about what others have, just do what I can do, concentrate on me. Congrats cats on the hire. GO CARDS! Wait.... did I forget to sssshhhhaaakkkeeeee??????

It never gets old. :lol: There are some UK fans who act exactly as you say, but for the most part I have yet to see it. Coach Cal should be able to lead UK back to the level of competing for championships, which is where UL is right now and where UK was until 4 years ago or so, although I don't see anyone shaking in their boots at the thought of what UK may or may not become.
April 2, 200917 yr Its a vocal minority, the 18%, the Mullet and Meth group, whatever you want to call them. They are a contrast to the rest of us and you are completely right, its ridiculous. I can't fault the passion, but it gets very misguided. I do think it is exaggerated on this type of anonymous medium, though.
