April 2, 200917 yr While it might be fun to say, I don't really think UL fans are scared. If UK gets back on par, then I can see Louisville fans being dissapointed the same way UK fans are dissapointed that Louisville has had recent success while UK hasn't.
April 2, 200917 yr Its a vocal minority, the 18%, the Mullet and Meth group, whatever you want to call them. They are a contrast to the rest of us and you are completely right, its ridiculous. I can't fault the passion, but it gets very misguided. I do think it is exaggerated on this type of anonymous medium, though. :thumb:
April 2, 200917 yr I've probably seen this one pop up three dozen times over the past three days. I've also seen another variation along the lines of "all of college basketball is shaking in their boots." And it gets funnier each time. And we're supposed to believe that most Wildcat fans aren't arrogant as hell, and that they're not completely dismissive of each and every other college team? Sort of reinforces my belief that most UK fans aren't really college hoops fans; just UK fans. Keep 'em coming, guys. It never gets old. Proof positive that UL fans are very worried, and they should be.
April 2, 200917 yr Proof positive that UL fans are very worried, and they should be. Why? Pitino beat him in C-USA and beat him in 1996... not even with ineligible players could he beat Pitino when it came down to crunch time. Now before someone jumps down my throat, I know full well that Calipari had no wrongdoing in the Camby incidents, I'm just making a point. See you in January.
April 2, 200917 yr As a U of L fan, I can tell you that I'm not scared one bit. I really don't care who Kentucky or any other school hires for a coach. I hope all Kentucky schools do well. My dream is to see Louisville and Kentucky play each other for national championshipa . That almost happen back in 1975 when a UL TO,give the ball back to UCLA and they score to win in the last seconds of that game in the final 4.
April 2, 200917 yr That almost happen back in 1975 when a UL TO,give the ball back to UCLA and they score to win in the last seconds of that game in the final 4. You see... UK fulfilled their end of the requirement! C'mon Louisville! J/K!
April 2, 200917 yr That almost happen back in 1975 when a UL TO,give the ball back to UCLA and they score to win in the last seconds of that game in the final 4. Actually Terry Howard, who had not missed a FT all year, missed the front end of a 1 and 1. That led to Richard Washington's baseline jumper and win for Wooden.
April 2, 200917 yr Proof positive that UL fans are very worried, and they should be. Win a few games in the Big Dance, no wait just get there, then we will talk. :sssh:

It never gets old. Just like it never gets old reading posts from UofL fans on UK basketball. Doesn't UofL have a team? I love the friends I have from Lville that keep telling me about the shady hire etc. Call it what you want but I smell a little fear. I also love those guys that cast the first stone.. thank goodness UofL fans aren't "arrogant as hell". You should have seen the messages I was getting from my UofL friends coming into last weekend when Billy G was out and Lville was going to "win it all" This has been such a fun week! Keep the negative UK posts coming

April 2, 200917 yr It's completely different, how can you say otherwise? When did Calipari coach Louisville to a National Championship? When did Calipari leave Louisville for the NBA before coming back to coach at UK?:ohbrother: Glad you saved me the trouble.
April 2, 200917 yr To be honest Jim, this is very much like the UNC story just a few years ago. As soon as Roy Williams arrived the Tar Heel nation began to walk cocky again and I literally heard them telling Dukies and such, "Now you guys will fear us again. Wait until Roy gets a hold of you." Is it just UK or their fan base? No. Is it annoying and crazy? You Bet. :thumb:
