I think Billy D has been told to let the fire burn down a little bit. He did it once before with wanting to leave for the pros, then why wouldn't he do it again. Kentucky wouldn't have fired Billy G without a heavy hitter waiting in the wings. Also, Kentucky knows what is at stake with losing current players and incoming recruits without having a BigTime coach to take over. People are going to be surprised of the outcome....

Gillespie should have never been hired and if UK goes the way of Dixon,Wright,Barnes or Ford or another so called up and comer like Gillespie was, program will never get back,hopefully Barnhart knows this.

I think he could be successful here, but I don't think anyone wants to take a chance on someone who is not one of the Top 10 in the country and he is probably more like Top 25. I have to agree with the wish list of Pitino, Calapari, and Donovan. I would throw in Izzo and Barnes, but the question is, will any of those guys come here?

Back with the start of the Eddie Sutton era, Kentucky always went after Lute Olsen and Arizona would always give him more money and he stayed. I don't think Lute ever was going to consider KY. Billy D may be working the same game. :idunno:
