Anderson or #3 didn't shut Ferg down!!! He was jumping up and down wide open several times in second half!!!!! I have watched him play his whole career and one of his best attributes is getting away from his man and getting open!! Anderson did helpside him in the post and made it difficult for him to get the ball there 2 or 3 times!!!!!!!!!!! I am pretty sure he only took 4 shots in second half

one of them was off an offensive rebound but he got away from his man quite a bit more than three times!!!! He hit two of the four!! I have saw him have over 20 in first half numerous times in his career and he never gets many in second half unless it is a tight game!! I predicted him to get 5 in second half this time and he got 4! The good part is they didnt need him in second and we won!!!!!!!!!!

I agree that I have seen multiple games where ferg has had a great first half and he is not found during the second. I dont believe this is intentional, but it doesnt neccesarirly mean that defensive adjustments shut him down either. I beleive that EC is an equal oppurtinity employer, they dont analyze, they just throw it to the open man. I believe at halftime they realize ferg is eating them alive and they adjust. To believe that Elliot wont adjust also, is ................................................

It was my first time to see C.J. Penny play, and honestly, I was a little disappointed. He wants to be more of a finesse player, and what his team needed was a little more of a power player.

 

Anderson went to the well (the low post) often and it paid off for a while. Elliott's fine outside shooting, especially that of Ferguson, and their great offensive rebounding were the deciding factors in the game.

Elliott advances and has its hands full...COngrats and good luck.

Now that I'm a little more at myself (though not too much at such an early hour after such a late night) I've got to say that Ferg and Ethan were AWESOME!! They definately proved to everyone at Rupp that they are well deserving of the awards and attention they've received this year. They scored, rebounded, and left it all on the floor. We're SO PROUD of each and every one of our Elliott boys!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Gotta give a nod to the nice young men (Lewis Co) sitting next to me. They came out to support the 16th region.

Congrats to the boys!!!!! Keep your dream going and get revenge tonight!! How sweet to get a second chance at the only KY school to beat you this year.

Since Elliott County is now making their third straight trip to the Sweet Sixteen, I think the new-ness of it is gone.

 

The name of the game is to win and move on, hopefully, with some legs left. I do not think we saw a full-throttle Elliott County, but we will shortly.

 

I love watching this team play the great game the way it should be played.
