March 10, 200917 yr Stands for Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus It's a type of staph infection. It is something that folks need to take seriously. One of my son got it and it took a 10 day intra-veinious antibiotic to kill it.
March 10, 200917 yr That is so sad and so scary. MRSA is not something to be taken lightly. Poor kid and his poor family. He was at soccer practice on Thursday, got sick on Friday, and died on Tuesday. That seems inconceivable.
March 10, 200917 yr This is such a tragedy. For something that can be prevented by the schools with proper cleaning. I think Pikeville shut down several schools a few years back over this very issue. This is very serious. Thoughts and prayers for this family.

This is a part of what caused my Mom's death...it's ugly..ugly..ugly:cry::cry::cry: My prayers are with this child's family and friends. May God welcome him home into his loving arms.
