March 10, 200917 yr This NBA season is turning out to be a very entertaining one. I am a BIG Kobe Bryant fan, and never would I have thought that anyone could convince me that he was not the Most Valuable Player in the league, but Dwyane Wade, as of right now, deserves to win his first MVP. Dwyane leads the league in scoring with 29.7 PPG, and is averaging 7.7 APG and 5.1 RPG, along with his 49.5% field goal percentage. Kobe this year is averaging 28.0 PPG, 5.3 RPG, and 4.6 APG, 5.3 RPG, and is shooting 47.2% from the field. And I know everyone could also make an argument for Lebron James, who is averaging 28.1 PPG, 6.6 APG, and 7.0 RPG, while shooting 48.8%. Can anyone make an argument against Dwyane this year?
March 10, 200917 yr ^ His record. Take away Wade though and the Heat are lucky to win 20 games the entire season. Then again, take the best player off any of these teams and they lose a lot more games. Wade is an absolute beast out there. He has been on a tear lately. MVP or not, I believe he is the best player in the NBA.
March 10, 200917 yr LeBron has to win it with his body of work this year with his offense, defense, and the teams winning.
March 10, 200917 yr Author Defeinsively -- Dwyane is 2nd in the league in steals with 2.22 per game. Lebron avg. 1.69 steals. Dwyane Wade also averages 1.43 blocks per game. Lebron? Only 1.18 blocks per game. Both the Cavs (#1 or #2) and Heat (#4 or #5) will make the playoffs, so it is not like Dwyane is especially lacking in the "Team Winning" category.
March 10, 200917 yr I'll give it to Dwayne Wade. Lebron and Kobe both have better supporting cast than Wade does in Miami.
March 10, 200917 yr D. Wade:thumb: ...especially after last night's heroics. Just sick! That was unbelieveable!!! 48-12-6-4 and the steal and running 24 footer at the buzzer to win it....AWESOME!!! I thought LeBron was going to get it but Wade is making a huge run at it here since the All-Star break (average 36 per game). I really like watching them both. Right now, I'd say it's a toss up and Kobe is right there in the mix, too. Too close to call right now.
March 10, 200917 yr Its definitly a 3-horse race. There is still plenty of time for 1 of them to distinguish themselves above the other. Wade had a signatuer performance last night. All 3 have had huge game this year though.
March 10, 200917 yr Well a few years ago I was trying to convince people that Wade was the best player in that great draft class with Wade, Lebron, Carmello and Bosh. People were saying Lebron was because he was putting up numbers and with a bad cast around him, while Wade was leading his team to a championship! Well I guess a lot of those people going by their arguments must now think Wade is the best one in the class, since he is doing it now with a supporting cast not as good as Lebron's. By the way I do give the MVP to Wade this year, if it ended today.
March 10, 200917 yr Lebron and D Wade are having insane years, so insane that when Kobe's year is third on the list as of right now. D Wade has carried over from the Olympics more than I was looking for him too.
