With all due respect, Howard doesn't belong in the discussion with Kobe, LJ and D-Wade.

I think he does, he, Chris Paul, Deron Williams and Brandon Roy are all premier players in this league and are all having great seasons and their teams are thriving off their individual success. Without Paul on the Hornets, Williams on the Jazz, Howard on the Magic or Roy on the Blazers, each team fails to the make the playoffs and in the case of the Magic, Blazers and Hornets, are lottery teams IMO

You can throw them in there just to give them some respect, but the reality is they're not as good as the top three, the seasons they are having aren't as good as the top three, and they're no more important to their teams than those three.

I don't get this whole "they'd be a lottery team without this guy" argument. The reality is, it's irrelevant. You take the best player off of any team in the NBA and they take a significant hit. They're nowhere close to what they currently are.

Example: The Lakers are a title contender/favorite. Take away Kobe and they have zero shot at that. What does it matter if they finish as the 7 or 8 seed and make the playoffs?

Which guy is more valuable...the guy that makes you a frontrunner for the NBA finals instead of a mediocre team that battles for a playoff berth? Or, the guy who makes you a playoff team instead of a non-playoff team?

My vote goes Lebron, Wade, Kobe(honestly its could go any way you pick these 3), and Howard. Anyone who says Howard isn't in the discussion is not thinking it through though. He puts up 20 and 15 almost every night and is the most dominant center in todays game and the most since Shaq in his prime, he is most certainly in the top 4 and discussion.

Good post. :thumb: And as far as PG's I have to stick with Chris Paul( Williams is right there too) as my top guy, he makes things happen and is #5 in my MVP race.

You can't go wrong with any of the three, but I hope Lebron wins.

Dwyane definately deserves to win the MVP. LeBron has good players around him and so does Kobe. Dwyane has one (Jermaine O'Neil) and you might through Beasley in there but Wade is carrying his team on his back. So D-Wade deserves it. IMO.

Kobe won't win it because he doesn't have to do as much for his team on a nightly basis like Lebron and Wade. I hope Kobe wins it but I don't feel very good about his chances, that being said unfortunatley I have to say Lebron wins the MVP.

LeBron. His teams got the best record, and he is having the best overall season of his career. Dwayne Wade has had a great year, but his team isn't really that good considering they play in the East. They won't be doing anything during the playoffs.

I have seen all three play a few times in person. LeBron is really unmatched by the other two. Say what you want about who is the better shooter, defender, whatever.... what sets him apart, especially when you watch him in person is his court vision and awareness. He is a special player. Wade is really the least impressive of the three in person. He makes alot of shots, but really forces alot as well. Bryant is Bryant no matter where you watch him.

Wade has led a team with not much talent and not much experience and has them in the playoffs right now. He has done more with less than the others. You say he forces a lot of things. I could be wrong here but isn't his shooting percentage better than Lebrons? So if he is forcing a lot of shots, then he still sure is making them a lot and a better percentage. He also averages more points, steals, blocks and assists than Lebron. I think what Wade has done this year with his team is the most impressive out of the three.

With that said even though I think Wade deserves it more. I think Lebron will win it, because they usually give it to the player on the best team. So just by going by how they usually do it, I think Lebron will win it.

Well, for one futurecoach, I think I could lead a team in the East to the playoffs right now. The Heat aren't as bad as people make them out to be. What are the Heat? Certainly not a contender. What are the Cavs without LeBron? Do they have the best record in the league.

Dwade and LeBron are about identical in stats...as of Today....

DWade- 29.9 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 7.5 APG, 2.3 SPG, 1.4 BPG, PER- 30.4, .489 %FG, .300 3PFG

LeBron- 28.4 PPG, 7.7 RPG, 7.4 APG, 1.7 SPG, 1.2 BPG, PER- 31.7, .487 %FG, .338 3PFG

Those are about identical.

And like I said, stats or not when you watch DWade you get the impression that he forces shots and is a ball hog. I have watched him twice this year, and twice before that (back when the Diesel was in Miami).

Lebron has to be the guy. No question about it. Kobe can match the wins, but not the stats. D-Wade can match the stats, but not the wins. The discussion starts and ends with those three and Lebron has an advantage over each of them in a significant category.

I love it when people use this argument, especially about being on the best team. I love it because just a few years ago when Wade was on the best team, I was arguing with people on who was better between Wade and Lebron. People used the argument well Lebron was doing more with less. Now that its reverse and Wade is doing more with less, people back away from how they felt before. People never stand behind what they say on here, which is funny hearing people using that argument now. I mean that is why I am using that argument now, just because people were saying that back then when situations was reversed.

Now to get into the stats yeah they are pretty much identical, but look Wade is actually beating him in almost every one of them stats now. You saying you could lead the Heat to the playoffs is just funny. I mean we all seen how they Heat did last year with a hurt Wade for the first part, and then without him for the second half of the season. They won what was it 15 games last year? Yeah if you take away Lebron they are not the best team in the league, but probably still be a playoff team since they are in the east. If you take away Wade, and they are not at all, and thats showing how bad the team is if they still couldn't make it to the playoffs without him while playing in the east.

I mean I could buy people saying Lebron should get the MVP, if they didn't just change their stance from a few years ago. However few years ago, people said well since Lebron was doing more with less that he was better, even though Wade was the best player on the best team who won the championship. So just by going what people were saying on here few years ago, then most should think Wade should get it, since he definitely has done more with less.

One more quick thing I don't get your whole ball hog thing. I mean you could say that about every star in the league then Lebron, Kobe and everyone. The best players on the teams do force shots sometimes. However I guess Wade does a better job at making his force shots than Lebron, since Wade still has the better fg%.:sssh:

Lebron is going to win the MVP, however I am just arguing this because people were saying the exact opposite few years ago when things were reversed with the two players.

That is the reason why he will win it.:thumb:

For the record I would have voted for LeBron the last two years as well. He has elevated the Cavs since they have been there.

Sure if you take DWade off the Heat they aren't in the playoffs, but thats the same for Chris Paul, Deron Williams and others. If you put LeBron on the Heat they are a top three team in the East and a threat to win the Eastern Conference. Remember what he did with the Cavs a few years ago? The Cavs really aren't that good personel wise, they just fit LeBron's game well. Mo Williams is very good, but he's not an All-Star without LeBron. Before you argue that, look at his career. He didn't sniff an All-Star game and most probably hadn't even heard of him.

I think DWade is a ball hog. He has passed more this year, but alot of it is out of necessity. And what I said was when you watch him in person you really come away thinking that. How many times have you watched DWade with the Heat? I would guess not once.

LeBron's assist numbers are down because he plays with two other PG type players in his lineup, and they still aren't really behind DWade. Also, how many times does LBJ not even play in the 4th? The Cavs have the best record in the league because of LeBron. They would still most likely be in the playoffs without him, but only because they are in the East and they certainly wouldn't have been there before Mo.

As far as me leading the Heat to the playoffs how is that funny? Have you seen me play? Heck, I could be DWade for all you know.
