I don't think its a guarantee that he was in the bottom 2. All they say is "bottom 3." They never say anything about the bottom 2 having the least votes. I'd say it was for good drama.

 

Ironic though that the most entertaining AI contestant ever was in the bottom 3 on the night the absolute worst winner ever was performing.

Yep, if he somehow goes the judges are going to be sad they used their save on Matt G.

 

 

The save would not have come into play since it was only good until they got to the Top 5.

I’m not a big fan of Adam’s ego or his style, but as a singer I think he is the best on the show.

 

I don't think it was vote fixing. Same thing happened to Daughtry when everyone was expecting him to win and he went home in the final 4. Many, including me, thought he was safe.

 

I think that when Lil left, Allison picked a lot of her votes. Danny and Chris are very likeable, and many probably thought Adam was safe.

 

This week they didn't say what they normally do that 'this is your bottom 2', just that Chris was safe. I think that was intentional to add to the drama.

 

I do agree that while very theatrical, Adam may have the best pure singing voice with nearly unlimited range of any Idol singer they have had on the show. What a gift.

Thanks for the update. This is who I had thought would go home, suprised Adam was there, not sad, but suprised. As it has been stated many times before me, it is his smug attitude that irks me.

^ Just to add to my previous post, Adam is a great singer! I just don't personally care for his actions which is why I don't want him to win. AI is about the entire package and I think Danny personifies it. Let's face it, record sales is based on way more than just vocals.........look at Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus.

Yeah it's not so much based on whether you can sing, but whether or not you can draw tween and teen girls to you and get them to pay every bit of their parents money....

I could see Adam, Allison, and Danny each having successful careers regardless of who wins. They are each as good as or better than some of the past winners IMO. Kris, I’m not so sure of. He is good, but not unique, as Simon’s would say he is “forgettable”.

Of the final four, I think Allison will have the biggest career. I see Adam going to Broadway, where we won't here too much about him. Danny could be the type of artist who has a song here or there reach the charts. Nothing flashy. And Kris, he's the most confusing of the bunch. Could he be like a Jason Mraz type? Who knows

I think it was fixed. Like you I am not a big fan of Adam either, and I also think he is by far the best in this competition.
