May 22, 200917 yr I think that is about right. He has a tremendous voice. I still think he has the best pure voice of any singer I have seen on Idol with nearly unlimited range. He was just over the top for me. I had told me wife a few weeks ago that overall, I thought this was the best final 4 I had seen. I really liked all of them, and each for different reasons. If Adam finds the right music/songs, he could have a tremendous career. He has a gift that very few individuals have. I personally could have cared less about his sexuality and persona. He exuded class on the show, even in defeat. In fact, I saw nothing but class from he and Kris after the results were announced. Kris said he thought Adam should have won, and Adam said Kris deserved it. I do think you are dead on that Kris can play the Peoria type crowd and fits in more with the 'heartland' voters. Adam was over the top, but I'm okay with that as well. Apparently Gene Simmons was asked if they would have Adam in their band and his comment was "No, he would be better suited in Queen". Some took that as a slam, but I took it as a compliment. If Queen could get Adam as their frontman, my oh my. There isn't a Queen song he couldn't nail and he has the outlandish showmanship that was part of what made Freddy Mercury a star. Solid analysis. I didn't mind the "over the top" aspect though.
May 22, 200917 yr America has spoken.. We don't like dudes in make up and glitter. My question is then how has KISS lasted 36 years? They sold their fewest records when they took the makeup off! I just think that for mainstream America he seemed over the top. I think he is an excellent performer and look forward to seeing what he will do. I hope he goes for the rock route, because that is one monster set of pipes with which he was blessed and he could really be an incredible frontman.

When I was in school, (almost) every girl wanted to be back stage with any of the 4 guys in KISS. Would there be any girls in line to go back and hang with Adam?
