Kris wins!! Not a surprise to me at all. Last week, they mentioned how close the top 2 were in votes. I would have to think that 80% of Danny's votes went to Kris. Do they show the actual vote total anywhere? It would not surprise me if Kris won by > 10 million votes.

AI is getting bigger and bigger each season with these finales. I absolutely loved the appearances last night. Good job in putting this one together. Oh, yeah KRIS!!!!! If it couldn't be Danny, I am glad Kris pulled it out.

 

Also, Adam was very gracious in being beat by the underdog. I may have underestimated his attitude. He won me over with that.

I agree--I thought Adam was a very gracious loser. I loved the finale--especially KISS! I would have loved to hear Adam and Queen do "Bohemian Rhapsody" because I've been saying from the beginning that Adam has the potential to be the reincarnation of Freddie Mercury.

During KISS' performance last night, my 7 year old looked at them and said "that dude's got one long tongue!" It was so funny! Then somebody said it looked like he had just eaten a red Jolly Rancher. A whole new generation of kids were introduced to an awesome band last night!

 

Did anyone else think Rod Stewart looked a little, well "off"? I was afraid he was going to tumble off the stage at one point.

Queen had rock legend Paul Rogers singing with them. They have been touring for a few years together performing Queen material as well as his material from Bad Company and some of his solo stuff. I think they may have parted ways. And Adam would be a GREAT fit for Queen. He has the vocal chops to pull off Freddie Mercury and the flamboyant personality to boot. I have thought for 2 months that this guy would be perfect to help kick off a Queen resurgence.

I think that is about right. He has a tremendous voice. I still think he has the best pure voice of any singer I have seen on Idol with nearly unlimited range. He was just over the top for me.

 

I had told me wife a few weeks ago that overall, I thought this was the best final 4 I had seen. I really liked all of them, and each for different reasons.

 

If Adam finds the right music/songs, he could have a tremendous career. He has a gift that very few individuals have. I personally could have cared less about his sexuality and persona. He exuded class on the show, even in defeat. In fact, I saw nothing but class from he and Kris after the results were announced. Kris said he thought Adam should have won, and Adam said Kris deserved it. I do think you are dead on that Kris can play the Peoria type crowd and fits in more with the 'heartland' voters. Adam was over the top, but I'm okay with that as well.

 

Apparently Gene Simmons was asked if they would have Adam in their band and his comment was "No, he would be better suited in Queen". Some took that as a slam, but I took it as a compliment. If Queen could get Adam as their frontman, my oh my. There isn't a Queen song he couldn't nail and he has the outlandish showmanship that was part of what made Freddy Mercury a star.
