No bigfoot. We here in Eastern Kentucky just like to pack the gym with what could be described as the cast from "Deliverance" and stare at you like we've never seen anything quite like you before. In the event you hear "I'll guard him, the one with the pretty mouth" that wouldn't be out of the ordinary either.

The long bus drive may have Ballard a little drowsy in the 1st quarter, but the city of Sandy Hook has no effect on how a team plays there. What are you implying about Elliott County and Sandy Hook anyways by saying it will be a culture shock? I'm sure Ballard has played against teams not in Louisville or Lexington before.

Dude, that crackerbox will be SRO lined with mountain men, and women. You'll struggle to sit down if you haven't camped out.

BigSpikes in a head to head match up Ballards competition they play during the course of the season will not be a factor. These kids from EC have played in to many big games throughout their young careers to let something as being battle tested bother them. The Faulkners especially will not be phased at all.

What this game comes down to is 3-4 things

1.Coaching

2.Elliott shooting

3.Ballards athletes

4.Timmy Knipp deciding to play hard the whole game & the big thing for him is staying out of fould trouble.

also - whether Ballard gets car sick or not, & the bus driver not running off the road.

Wait....Not only does Elliott have the best TEAM in the state and best guards in the state, but they also have the toughest gym to play at in Kentucky, the drive to their school/gym is more of a haul than any other place in the state, their fans make it a "culture shock" for ANYONE outside of the mountains that comes to their place, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY they have the best popcorn, hot dogs, nachos, and overall concession stand. WOW! Maybe Ballard shouldn't even show up? :ohbrother:

If the state tournament were played at Sandy Hook instead of Lexington, Elliott County would probably win it.
