I am taking Elliott in this one. Can anyone tell me the Home court record for Elliott County over the past several years? I know they don't have many losses at home.

Hopefully Ballard will win. I say by 7.

I think on a neutral court I'd pick Ballard, but being at Elliott makes the choice a bit tougher. I'll say Elliott is hitting and they win by 10, but the game will be closer than that with Elliott hitting free throws down the stretch to win.

EC 1O7 Ballard 102. Both teams like to run and look for the early three. Both teams have really good guard play. These teams match up well against each other. I just think EC shoots a little better. This could be a classic with the style of play of both teams.

Just for the record - Elliott hasn't lost on their home court since 2006.

I believe Elliott Co will welcome the running game of Ballard to their home court. The only way Ballard can win this game is for EC to have an off shooting night , and that rarely happens to them at home. Both teams at their best, Ballard cannot put enough points on the board to win.:popcorn:

 

78 points won't be enough , and Ballard has only reached that mark five times all season.

 

Didn't some of the same EC faithful say this heading in to the game with Shelby Valley when they said 56 points wouldn't be enough to beat EC? What was the outcome again of that? Give Ballard a little more credit. I'd say them only scoring 78 points or more 5 times this year has a lot more to do with the competition they've played, than them simply not being able to put up points. They are a top 5 team for a reason and have knocked off several good top 20 teams including a win over top 5 J'town TWICE.

I'm going to pick Ballard, because there are fewer Ballard posters on BGP than Elliott County posters. I predict Ballard will win by at least one. :popcorn:

I am pulling for the Sandy Hook boys to win this one.:ylsuper: Being from the mountains, I try and pull for the mountian teams. So glad it will be on TV and I can watch what I think will be a great game.

Yes. There are many regions stronger than the 16th, and Elliott Co. does not have a lot of competition in the 16th. But one simply can't declare they are a weak team based on their location. I'm sure they may have lost more games in other regions but they have earned a little more respect than they get from some on BGP. I'm not even from EC but I really enjoy their play.

They do have a few cranked up fans , but this has been a once in a lifetime ride for them. As far as I'm concerned, thats fine with me. I'm just a basketball fan , period.:thumb:

I'm not denegrating Elliott County at all. But aren't you declaring Ballard a weak team based on their point totals?
