I had lunch at Herb and Thelma's today. Very tasty. Best deal in town by far.

Huge double cheese and a Pepsi. $4.50 .

I've always heard good things about Herb and Thelmas. I just imagined the juke box would stop if I ever walked in, kind of looks like a West Cov locals type place.

Good stuff. Popped in after a Bengals game a few weeks ago. Very tasty burger and the beer was cold and cheap also. Definitely stuck in a time warp.

Don't worry. I had not been there either and the owner Chip treated me great.

Skinny Legs , hands down !!!!

I won't agree with "hands down" but I do enjoy their burgers.

They're good. Had a pretty good one at Pee Wees a couple of weeks ago. Double R. Yep just like the classic. Awesome onion rings with it.

Clizzy you make the trip to Bellevue for the grub? Or are you generally in the area for business, etc

just curious.

Sidenote, the building that Skinny Legs is in used to be Emerald Chili back in the 70's and 80's. They used to run the football cards out of the backroom. True story.

My wife and I hit Fairfield Ave quite often. Great little strip.

Yes, I would recommend the Avenue Brew and Bellevue Bistro as well for breakfast or lunch. There is a new Thai joint as well down by Skinny Legs I hear is really good.

I lived in Bellevue for a couple of years...and I hated people like you. :D

(...I kid, I kid.)

My top 5 burger places in greater Cincinnati would have to be (in no particular order):

Zip's

Quatmann's Cafe

Terry's Turf Club

Bard's Burgers

Skinny Legs

Honorable mention to Pee Wee's, Mad Mike's, and Longnecks. Although I wouldn't necessarily put Barleycorn's among my top burger joints in NKY, they do have a new(er) burger there called the Colossal Smokey Pepperjack Burger that is pretty darn fantastic. I'd certainly list it among my top burgers in the greater Cincinnati area. There's also a lunch diner up in Elmwood called Cretan's Grill that serves a really really good deluxe burger. It's just done really well. (Cretan's also serves their homemade Cincinnati Chili, and on Thursdays they have the best split pea soup you've ever had.)

Heading out to the Hayloft now, same as Skinny Legs and Zolas except in Alexandria. My brother in law was the cook at Skinny Legs, now hes out at the Hayloft. Heading there now..

Never, ever have I gone so far as to rank my favorite burger locations. Guess I've always been one of those "a burger is a burger" kind of guys. :idunno:

I had a Biggie at Greyhound Tavern this evening. Sat next to the perfectly decorated Noble Fir Christmas tree. Needles in tact. The burger was so big I wasn't sure how to eat it. I thought about cutting it in half but thought I might get heckled. Washed it down with an ice cold Stella draft. A+++
