Best Burger in NKY/Cincy area

Went to Mad Mikes in Erlanger today. Very good!

Had Mad Mike's yesterday as well. Got the Cali Burger...had avocado mayo and avocado slices on it. Everything about it was great except that the bun fell apart. I was more than happy with it though.

Anybody else tried Blinker's down in Covington next to Sidebar? They have $5 burgers all day on Monday. It's a very very good burger - and REALLY hard to beat for the price.

The 5 dollar burger is pretty much a staple for local restaurants. Pee Wees. Longnecks, 915 to name a few all run this deal one day a week.

Man...I must go on the wrong evenings. I've never been there for a $5 burger at any of those places. Still, I've had all three, and I'd personally rank the Blinkers' burger as the best. All of them were pretty solid, but Blinkers wins.

Pee Wees is on Mondays. 915 on Wed. Not sure on Longnecks. Pee Wees might be for lunch only.

A friend of mine ate at the Lager House yesterday and says the Moer Burger is the best he's ever had. He described it as this:

Cheddar Cheese, Fried Egg, Onion Relish, Spicy Pepper Mayo, Pastrami, Bacon . It's a monster burger from the picture I saw.

When I was at Reading, we used to go to Zip's, Quatman's, and ATP (Anderson Township Pub) which I believe was on Clough Pike (not sure if it's still there). All great burgers, IMO. Haven't tried any over on this side of the river, but I may have to go some places although Weight Watchers doesn't allow for too much burger eating. TOG, what's this Mary Burger I keep hearing about, where is it from?

Hamburger Mary's downtown maybe? I haven't been there for years.

The "Mary Burger" is the burger served by Mary who runs the concession stand at CCH baseball games. Strong burger for the price.

Is there a "Joseph" brat

Made it to Herb and Thelmas today and came away impressed. It wasn't what I expected at all, very dim but very inviting for me. I went to the bathroom and see a HS picture of my dad from the paper. It blew me away. Chip was so friendly, and he forms the patties right in front of you. The nostalgia in the place is awesome, where else will you find a Jane Meier bobblehead?

Heard second hand today, that Chip is selling Herb and Thelma's and leaving at the end of the month.

Anybody know anything?

I just heard the same thing last week. I heard that it has bveen sold and that Chip plans to retire at the end of the year. I hope the new owner doesn't change the way Chip makes those burgers. Very good.

Now Beechwoodfan, I know you don't like coming down to Ludlow anymore then you have to but might I suggest you bring your group down to Smittys on Elm. Owned by Rick Smith, formerly of Ludlow and now a Ft Mitchell resident, he opened the restaurant back in June and he has several different specialty burgers that are prepared by Chef Eric and are all very tasty. Good chili, fries and BLTs as well. Also has something called a Smitty Dog. Big Nathans Hotdog wrapped in bacon and covered with whatever toppings you might like to add to it. Very reasonably priced and a nice atmosphere. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Just ate at HWY 55 in Eastgate. Opens to the public Saturday. I had the shrimp po boy which was awesome. The ones' that had the Burger's said pretty tasty as well. Neat place.
