I'll take Mason in this one. They have the speed and defensive pressure to slow down the Elliott machine.

 

I'd say anyone going to this one better get there EARLY because I'm sure it will be standing room only with the fire marshall shutting the place down before everyone gets in.

Or it could be the other way around and validate a very good mason team and expose a weak Elliott team. Works both ways.

I would hardly say though that Mason is weak by any means as they have played everyone tough this year, andk barring a collapse from a fan, they would've been Scott County this year (@ SC I believe?). So Mason is by no means a "weak" team at all.

If it did validate a very good Elliott or Mason with only a 10 pt win, then the loser EC or MC would definately not be considered weak! Both are top teams in the state whether it be Top 20, 15, 10, 5 or whatever!!!!!!!!! Whoever brings their A game and has a little luck will win!!!!!!!!!!

Even if Elliott does win, we'll still have the N.KY crowd saying Mason wasn't on there game or someone didn't play or Elliott had a fluke game and came to play. It's always something to deny credit to EC. Too small, blah, blah, blah.

Having now said. I'll take EC by 8.

Don't try to stir anything up here. If Elliott beats Mason, good for them as they showed that night they are the better team on Elliott's home floor and I'm sure all the NKY faithful will follow me and congratulate them on their win. Most of us have remained skeptical of Elliott because of their schedule but if they can come out and take it to Mason (which most people agree on is a top 10 team in the state) then everybody will say Elliott deserves to be as highly ranked and touted as they already are. If its a close game I'm sure everyone will give them due respect as well. If Mason dominates though you will continue to hear about Elliott not being mentioned among the elite (and I believe they are though a sure-fire top 10 team though).

 

We'll just have to see come tuesday to make any judgements for either Team and how they stack up against the rest of the state.

Based on the recent FT history I wouldn't hope for that scenario if I were a Mason Co fan... Three in a row wouldn't be good vegas odds.
