Even if Elliott does win, we'll still have the N.KY crowd saying Mason wasn't on there game or someone didn't play or Elliott had a fluke game and came to play. It's always something to deny credit to EC. Too small, blah, blah, blah.

Having now said. I'll take EC by 8.

I suggest you win first before you jump to those conclusions. I believe that in the event that Elliott wins, any naysayers at that point will be shown for what they are.

I would hope not and I'm sure they are very focused on this next game against Mason County. I'm just saying based on cat_fan's comments, he, himself, seemed to be overlooking Mason County when he stated that they couldn't play with the Lions and that Ballard would be the REAL test.

 

I'm sure most of the EC faithful are extremely focused for Mason County, you included.

They had better be focused on Mason Co. They have a very good team.They're pretty strong in every phase of the game and their only weakness is their free throw shooting. :taz: May suffer some from claustrophobia in that smaller gym.

Did you think Anderson Co. could run with Elliott Co? I can't believe you don't see this being a close game.

MC won't have to run with your Lions. They'll slow the ball down and run their offense and pound it inside like SV did and then play tough defense and force EC to be patient.

Don't try to stir anything up here. If Elliott beats Mason, good for them as they showed that night they are the better team on Elliott's home floor and I'm sure all the NKY faithful will follow me and congratulate them on their win. Most of us have remained skeptical of Elliott because of their schedule but if they can come out and take it to Mason (which most people agree on is a top 10 team in the state) then everybody will say Elliott deserves to be as highly ranked and touted as they already are. If its a close game I'm sure everyone will give them due respect as well. If Mason dominates though you will continue to hear about Elliott not being mentioned among the elite (and I believe they are though a sure-fire top 10 team though).

 

We'll just have to see come tuesday to make any judgements for either Team and how they stack up against the rest of the state.

Everyone likes to root for the underdog. The lack of tough in state opponents is what has most of us adopting a "wait and see" attitude on Elliott. I am a skeptic. But I am one N. Ky. b'ball fan who is rooting for EC to show us all how good they are.
