I really like both of these teams, I won't pick a winner as I just want it to be a good hard fought game. I do think it will it will be a good game, and I also think it will be difficult for Mason (and Ballard on Sat) to come in and just dominate Elliott.

I see Elliott having two close games this week, against two other top teams, no matter if Elliott comes out on top or not, if they are good games they should get more respect.

Did you think Anderson Co. could run with Elliott Co? I can't believe you don't see this being a close game.

Never watched Anderson play, didn't know much at all about them till that night (hats off to them). I have seen Mason and after watching Elliott on Saturday sub their other 6'6'' center (which Timmy will do fine), I think that they can beat and wear down Mason's big man; putting more focus on guard play where Elliott shines. Don't think that Mason has the athletic ability to run with Elliott. Mason has more weak points in the starting five IMO and will have trouble matching up with Elliott. It will be a good game no doubt, but I think in the end Elliott will wear them down. In order for this to happen Elliott has to be on top of their game; how I know they can play. If that don't happen then I can see where you can make a case. Tuesday will tell all and I can't wait to watch this game because it is a great game for both teams so late in the season.

I question how many times you've seen MC play then, if you really think that.

It's very likely that 6'3/6'4 Pawsatt guards T. Knipp or 6'6 Setty, and in that case I see Timmy really struggling. No way they beat and wear down Pawsatt. That kid is very physical and a hoss down low. I watched him push around Isler of Covcath and Isler isn't exactly small. (6'4 235) Against Setty, he'll struggle with his quickness and against Barner he'll struggle with his athleticism.

IMO it will be MUCH tougher for EC to match up with Mason than vice versa. And if you think MC isn't athletic enough to run with EC...:scared::eek:

Again, EC won't be able to get out and run. Mason will slow the game down and pound it inside, just like SV did. I expect to see MC's bigger guards post up a lot and take advantage of the smaller EC team.

Only way I see EC running away with this is if MC tries to get in a shooting contest with the Lions. Other than that, MC has the advantage in pretty much every category.

I believe that some posters may have watched Mason early, when they were somewhat struggling for their identity. Mason has gotten much stronger as the year progressed is a formidable opponent for anyone. I would list them as a darkhorse, but IMO a dangerous team capable of winning all the marbles. They started the year majorly underrated.

Elliott seems to be in a minor funk at the moment. With that being said, Im still going with Elliott in a close one. I will agree with some posters though, if by some chance Elliott is looking ahead at Balllard, this will be ugly.

I just dont believe these kids are.

Elliott will win because I want it more than the Mason fans do!

Okay, obviously I am kidding... I just hadn't seen anyone say the "Whoever wants it more..." line.

I did vote for Elliott, but a Mason win would not shock me at all!

IMO Knipp will have to hold his own inside, and the rest of the team has to push the tempo. Everybody will have to play defense the entire game (regardless of how the previous offensive possession ended).

After the drubbing EC got in the Fieldhouse last year I would say they are wanting some pay back

But I think MC by 1

Can anyone hook up some huge fans in Florida with a link to the game? Thanks so much & best of luck to two great teams.

Not overlooking Mason at all! I said that they wouldn't tame the lions and based on what I seen with Mason this year they won't be able to run with Elliott. They are the defending state champs but I think we all agree not the same team. IMO I think that it won't be a close game and Ballard will be the REAL test. That is just support for the boys in the hook; tuesday we will see if I am right or wrong. It is just an opinion and they are like you know what; everyone's got one.

To say that Mason will lose is an okay bet, but saying that it won't even be close might be a stretch.

Mason Co. wins by 8

If Elliott shoots well they will win by 15+ but if they shoot bad it will come down to the wire because Mason is pretty bad at free throws.

GO ELLIOTT:popcorn:

Well, I've been thinking hard about this one... The last time they played a great team (Shelby Valley), I predicted a 30-point win for the Lions. I suspect that Coach Mayes saw my thoughts and overlooked SV. Thus, he didn't come out with a good gameplan and Elliott fell behind early. I'm going to be proactive in this game and go ahead and say:

Mason 105

Elliott 70
