February 3, 200917 yr I also, would be more concerned about having a DUI than the pot smoking. Sadly the lesson learned here has nothing to do with using illegal drugs, but that when there is money to be made you can't trust anyone!

Those young swimmers who look up to him should emulate his work ethic and his desire in the pool. What you do in your spare / free / leisure time is up to you & you should not emulate your idol or favorite athlete. That's where parenting kicks in...

February 3, 200917 yr 1) He has admitted to "regrettable behavior" not to smoking dope. Unless I missed something. 2) The prosecutor has to prove it is indeed Phelps in the picture. 3) The Sheriff has to be able to prove that the party was held in his county. That will be the hardest part.
