No, he shouldn't be condemmed for drinking a few beers because that's not illegal. He should be condemmed for underage drinking when he was 19, DUI, smoking illegal drugs, and being stupid. February 6, 200917 yr He's 23. He may be the most decorated Olympian ever but he's still just a kid. I'd probably be more worried about him if he didn't do something silly at his age. I tend to think that he'll turn out okay. He was just being a kid having fun for once instead of training and dieting 24/7. Bad move yes, but in fact the last 3 presidents of the United States admitted smoking pot didn't they so I would not go so hard on him, bad enough it will cost him millions in endorsements.
February 6, 200917 yr Kellogg (cereal people) says they will not renew their contract with Phelps.... That contract was going to end at the end of this month and no new discussions were taking place before this happened to renew. Plus it is one of the smallest sponsers he has. They just go lucky with some good PR. His biggest sponsor, Speedo says they are fully behind him. G
