Reoccurring Dreams

Featured Replies

Does anyone have reoccurring dreams. I'll probably just confirm, what a lot of you already knew and say "maybe I'll losing my mind" but I have this dream constantly.

The weird thing is, I lack the ability to separate it from reality. I've had this dream/memory for so long, that I honestly can't tell you if it was ever real or just a dream.

I'm driving thru a city, having to go up a steep bridge and down the other side, which terrifies me. I get lost several times but always make it to the destination. I always have on the same clothes, colors appear the same and the time period is early '80's.

Anyone else have reoccurring dreams, or know why I have just this one.

I had a reoccurring dream when I was younger. I was 7 years old and always had dreams about my mom getting shot with a crossbow by robbers. Brutal I know.

I was a terrible sleeper when I was younger. I always talked in my sleep and I slept walked a lot. I could go to bed in my room and wake up hours later in the kitchen. My younger brother had night terrors, I think that's what it's called.

I eventually grew out of mine and rarely dream at all anymore.

I only have one nightmare, and its the same nightmare all the time. I now know when I'm having it and can wake myself up from it.

I have reoccurring dreams all the time. :thumb:

I have two and get them frequently:

1) I have just gotten my college report card and realized that I did not show up for a class the entire semester and flunked.

2) I am in some type of confrontation in which I have to pull my weapon and do not have the strength to pull the trigger and am killed.

Have had them for years and years and assume I'll just have them forever.

I have had the same dream 3 times in my life, it is weird. Every 5 yrs or so I think it has occurred. I cant remember what it was but I just remember waking up and thinking I know I have had that same dream before. Same details, etc. Weirrrrd

I have reoccuring dreams. It's weird, I just kinda wake up and it's like, oh yea, that's that dream I always have. No big deal, I know how it ends.

However, a few weeks ago, I had about a two week span where I had really bad nightmares. Wild animals malling me one night, or bugs eating at my face the next. It was really creepy. This lasted about a week. I could remember them very vividly the next day. Then all of the sudden they just stopped.

You sure that wasnt LN trying to maul ya or is he more like a cuddly bear?

I've had so many different re-occuring dreams that I almost forget them till I have them again.

My worse two w/o getting into the specifics and details are:

1. Attending college and forgetting to attend a particular class and flunking school.

2. I'm in a football game and can barely run, my body feels un-mobilized and I can barely run, I feel awful during that dream because I know I can run but I can't get anywhere.

NEVER drink 4 redbulls and eat a Frosty from Wendy's within one hour. I went to sleep that Saturday night and I had the craziest dream, I am not going to say all of it, but one part I had to take a school bus to go to a bathroom and inside the bathroom, a serial killer was giving guitar lessons.:lol::ohbrother::bunny::irked:

But I have a reoccuring dream where I am always dead, and am looking down at my funeral, weird, I know.

Even though I'm 53, I still have the occasional dream about going to class and it's final exam day. And it's the first time I've been to the class all semester. Must be related to my actual attendance record back in the day.

And for some reason, I have one every so often that involves walking through the house (in the dark) that I grew up in as a young child; looking into the bathroom and seeing that the soap in the soap dish is glowing red.sleepwalk.gif

Always have a dream that I cant pull the trigger or when I do the gun never goes off, its crazy!

I have had one recently that happened with the same formula but slightly different scenarios.

I am pretty sure I understand the reasoning and why they occur but it is still somewhat weird.

It involves me meeting to talk with someone I was once extremely close too but have not actually spoken with in almost 3 years. The location isn't always the same but it is always in the back of some restaurant or bar in a dark corner and it always feels like I am sneaking around or have somewhere else I should be. The dream usually ends with certain expressions of affection and me wondering what I will tell my girlfriend.
