January 27, 200917 yr Ever seen the television show The Wire? I'm scared to go. No; the last TV show based in Baltimore that I watched was "Homicide - Life on the Street". Probably wouldn't have made you feel a whole lot better. PS - I'm old enough to remember Oprah Winfrey as a cub reporter for a Baltimore TV station; and Montel Williams as a student at the school where my dad was a guidance counselor.
January 27, 200917 yr My re-occurring dream-which I have had for many, many years, is that I'm trying to go somewhere important, and I can't get ready to leave and end up being really late. The thing I'm trying to go to is always something different; but in the dream I'm always piddling around, doing unimportant things and sidetrack myself. I notice that I feel very frustrated and panicky in the dream. I've never found a good interpretation, does anybody have any idea what this symbolizes?
January 27, 200917 yr I heard someone on TV one night discussing the "Gun" theme in dreams. Most of the time the gun won't work or you have the wrong bullets or the bullets come out of the gun but won't travel very far. I can't remember why they said our minds do this. I also remember something about slow running in dreams, especially if being chased. I used to dream of a rattlesnake in my parents house that would not let me move about. I had that dream for years! I used to have a lot of dreams about being sent back overseas after I retired from the army, too. I would be at home or at my current job, then the next thing I know, I am back with the army overseas or travelling back. Our minds are very strange in what they want to do....
January 27, 200917 yr I have also had a dream for years that I get in a fight but can never bring myself to punch my opponent in the face, always stopping my fist right before contact. Who knows what it means....
January 27, 200917 yr Author I would tell you that something happened in the 80's that really changed the course of your life. It sounds as though that you might have made some wrong decisions, or, something went wrong, however, it all turned out alright. If you were to see me on this, I would have you do some "homework" on thinking back to the 80's and recalling some things that might have made you feel so very guilty...like maybe a lie, or a bad decision, or a breakup, death, etc...anything that really troubled you in that time line. When you gave me the list on our next meeting, I would then talk with you about each item that you put in your list. I would say that you might be in some stress that you are aware or unaware about right now. This stress is bringing about memories of the 80's time line. These types of dreams are something I like to call "true dreams". They can really be bothersome. :thumb: Very interesting.
