I heard that an donor sent a 20" mover down to the field for the special cutting of the new grass. In an effort to keep unexperienced individuals from cutting the grass too low he had the blade removed and discarded. Also had the settings welded to the 4" slots in the wheels. Guess someone is just going to get some excerise.

Wow!!! I see where HHS has added Cincy St. X to the Home schedule on May 5. Keep beefing up the schedule. When you see and play the some of the best out there, you can learn from it. Maybe they can keep their winning streak going against them. Won the last two, at St X no less. I think their coach called it a "Banquet Win".

Yeah but this game is at HHS. The last two were at St. X. With St. X fences being MLB distances and a 30 mph wind blowing in several of the long balls hit turned into merely long fly balls. Now the last time St. X played at HHS back in either 1995 or 1996, HHS had to send a certain manager that missed the bus down to KMart to buy more baseballs. I think St. X hit somewhere in the neighborhood of 8 to 10 long balls that were never seen again. Good Luck Birds.

Wow!!! For a minute (because of so many post) I thought I was in a Highlands Football Thread! :p:lol::lol::lol:

It is great to have donors with deep pockets who can provide equipment for the facilities....

Preach on SEABASS!

So with basketball season over, will there be any basketball players joining the baseball team?

Tyler Grubbs would be one heckuva a DH. Steve Kowolonek would be awesome on the basepaths. Watson is a big kid who probably could bring a big stick to the lineup. Grote would be an aggressive player at the plate and probably score a lot of runs.

A lot of nice athletes there but who knows.

Zach Lother used to be a good hardballer. Grubbs needs to hit the weights, start some sprints, and take some JR day visits and do the FB camps. He's got D1 size and talent but needs to get his name out there. With no offers to date, he should start making calls/visits to the schools he wants!

Its ashame not too see these young men play baseball. But with football and AAU leagues going to begin they probably will not play. They were all pretty good baseball players when they were younger!
