6th grade middle school boys

Who are the top teams in your area? The state tournament is just 3 weeks away and I was wondering who some of the better teams are? In our area Wayne County, Clinton County, Lincoln County, Meece, Monroe County, and South Laurel are the teams capable of making a good run.

Who are the top teams in northern Kentucky? Eastern Kentucky?

East KY is down. I haven't got to see much, but the best I have seen is AB Combs out of Perry COunty. I will get to see more this weekend as I amgoing to the Sportsplex for the weekend tourney. I will report back about it.

Belfry's 6th grade is very good.

Highlands folks would love to comment on this thread but the school doesnt sponsor a 6th grade team.

Why would they. Just look at all of the success the program has had since the middle school opened:rolleyes:

Success on the girls side has been hurt by the constant moving up of players. The current Soph. class and current 8th grade class could have both been outstanding teams if allowed to play Middle School ball together.

Agreed that the boys programs are lacking for whatever reason.

I think it is a total joke that HHS doesn't have a 6th grade basketball team..Everytime someone approaches the powers to be about getting a team all they do is make excuses why they can't have one. JOKE!!!!!!:madman::madman:

If you want to talk about Highlands not having a 6th grade team then start a thread and do it. Highlands members constantly threadjacking threads that have nothing to do with Highlands is an issue all of you are going to force us to deal with and you won't like it if you force our hand.

On topic, Ockerman Middle School in Florence has an undefeated 6th grade middle school team that hasn't even had a close game yet.

The three better 6th grade teams in N. KY are Ockerman (Brendan Stanley), Twenhofel (Noah Robinson), and Turkeyfoot (Stallion AAU team). Ockerman and Twenhofel are both undefeated. I believe Ockerman is the best of the 3.

I haven't seen the other two but I agree with Rush that Brendan Stanley is all that and a bag of chips. He is truly a man among boys.

I just can't recall seeing Brendan Stanley play before. How big is he now and who did he play with in the past the Wolfpack?

He is 5'10 or 5'11 and I believe he has played for the Wolfpack for a while..

This kid has really exploded in the last 2 AAU seasons. He was the best player in the Georgetown Tourney hands down. He reminds me of a faster more athletic Tom Deter's although I don't think he can hit the 3 as well. The St. Henry 9th grade coach said he would start on his team.

Who are Ockerman's guards? Would I be familiar with either of them?

Noah is huge for his age.. I haven't seen much this year but he is a player.
