Meece (Somerset) beat Elliott Co. by 4 to play tomorrow in the elite eight.

I wish KBA would post the scores. Last year Sean kept everything up to date.

Lincoln won to advance to the elite eight, but that is all the info I have. GO EAGLES!

Great tournament, although not for us! Two buzzer betters two missed at the buzzer and several close games.

Lincoln plays Georgetown, Meece (without Tyler Dishman) beat Elliott County and will play JCTMS, LCA plays South Laurel, and Wayne County plays Chavies.

JCTMS beat West Jessimine on a mid court buzzer beater, then destroyed Monroe County. Lincoln County slipped by Anderson county by 6, South Laurel beat Grant pretty badly, Wayne destroyed Mason County, Chavies edged Mercer County, Georgetown won an OT thriller over Beaumount, LCA won by 7 but I'm not sure who they beat.

As for Clinton County we were outhustled and outplayed in 2 barnburners and ended our season losing more games today than we did all last season. We were very prepared for what Grant County did but they beat us to death on the boards and had over 20 second chance points. Dalton and Davis were a combined 4-31 for the game. Grant made a tough shot to win at the buzzer.

In the Anderson County game we sprinted out to a large lead and then just ran out of gas as Anderson County just wanted it a little worse than we did. We had a three at the buzzer to win that just missed to send the Bulldogs home very early.

It was a very disappointing end to a good season but we weren't big enough to win it, I guess it just saved a little heart ache later. Good luck to all of the remaining teams, it should be a very exciting day. Wayne is the team to beat but I still like Lincoln in an upset.

I watched most of the games and I didn't really see anyone have a game that put them on the map. Alot of good players in action but no one that really just took over a game. The big boys fron Georgetown and Wayne County are probably the top 2 players in the tournament. No suprise there.

Here is a list of the teams entered into the 6th grade middle school state tournament so far.

Estill Co.

Eversole #1

Eversole #2

Northern Middle

South Laurel

Grant Co.

Scott Co

Clinton Co.

Mason Co.

JCTMS

North Oldham

Campbell Co.

No Friday games will be played this year, it's all on Saturday and Sunday.

Where is this tournament, when and is it for school teams or all all star teams?

Final Four

South Laurel vs. Lincoln Co.

JCTMS vs. Wayne Co.

Looks like it will be South Laurel vs Wayne final. South is up on Lincoln 55-32 with about 3:00 left and Wayne is up by 7 on JCTMS with about 2:00 left.
