January 2, 200917 yr Author  But you probably had to eat more junk food to get that nasty taste out of your mouth. Nah, I actually grew a little used to it. I just need to get back in the gym and get going and I should do fine. It is tough not to eat a little snack here or there, but I will maintain focus.
January 2, 200917 yr Just do like fruit or carrots/celery when you snack. I do this all the time w/out meaning to, just because I like it, but it's a great snack.

Yeah, well that is what I did the last time. I would just eat an apple. I would occassionally eat a small handful of SmartChoice White Cheddar popcorn, it's not really that bad for you. I got in the habit of drinking a lot of water at night, made me pee a lot, but helped me from getting hunger cravings at night.

Yea I read an article a while back, said something to the effect that any time you have a small hunger craving late at night that you can usually get it to go away simply by drinking one full glass of water.

I have always heard the same thing, and also been told that if you drink a glass right before you go to bed that you won't really wake up with them either. Eating crap right before I go to bed is one of my vices.

January 2, 200917 yr I really only have two vices, alcohol, and Tombstone Pizza's. Man it's hard to say how much weight I would have lost during the biggest loser contest I was in if only I could have fought the urge of going to bars on the weekend. Going out on the weekend and laying in bed all day Sunday made for terrible weigh ins on Monday.
January 3, 200917 yr Anyone else treat themselves to one "cheat" meal a week ? I do. While I'm dieting, I'll treat myself to something good every Friday at lunch. I don't go out and eat McDonald's double cheeseburgers or anything like that. But I'll go to a steak house and have a larger steak with vegetables. Maybe a Mexican place for some Fajitas. I'll still eat a decently healthy meal, I just don't freak out over the portions like I do the rest of the week.
January 3, 200917 yr Author I have always been told that you are suppose to treat yourself one meal a week, like you said that doesn't mean completely pig out and each a bunch of trash, but still help yourself out. I did it last time I tried to lose weight and I will this time probably too.
January 3, 200917 yr Enjoying my last pizza for quite some time lol. I will probably do that tomorrow.
January 3, 200917 yr Well its midnight, I can't sleep and I am eating chips and salsa. I will enjoy this till tomorrow lol. Then the weigh in. GRR
January 3, 200917 yr Well I figured I might as well show off a before and after picture of my weight loss. I know I hear all the time how different I look these days from people, but I swear most of it was from a hair cut and shave. I weighed 380 in the 1st pic with long hair, I believe I am somewhere between 300 and 310 in the 2nd pic. I was 20 or 21 in the 1st pic, and I'm 22 now. The 2nd pic is about a month old.
January 3, 200917 yr Aww congrats on the weight loss Deimos! That's awesome! I'm going to eat whatever I want tomorrow, and then get serious on the 4th ha.

GRR You know you don't have to completely give up things you love. You just modify them. Try making your own salsa with tomatoes, onions, cilantro and jalepenos. Take tortillas that you'd buy for enchiladas, and cut them into triangles, bake them with a slight brush of olive oil, or without, and lightly salt them. Commercial salsas have sugar/corn syrup in them. Making your own at home is easy, tastes better and healthier. Plus you can use the salsa for topping fajitas, etc, even plain blah baked chicken breasts.
