I'm in, this should be fun seeing who loses the most in the 1st week. My prediction is 12lbs by someone, not me though.

I will add you Latch...

Only the first weigh in isn't until two weeks into it.

What is that?

It is a work out program. Do a search on here, there are a couple of threads about it. I have never talked to anyone that did it, correctly, and didn't come out in amazing shape.

OK, then I'll say a loss of 15lbs will happen in 2 weeks by someone. This is the only way I'll keep motivated, competition!

Make you and others check out the other thread and post your current weight in their sometime throughout tomorrow.

You'd actually be surprised at the amount of food you can eat on a 1000 calorie a day diet. A lot of vegetables along with smaller portions of meat but still very filling meals.

Chicken or fish are typically my meat of choice while dieting especially for dinner.

For example: An entire can of green beans has around 70 calories. If you like green beans, that makes for a great snack or side dish to a meal. A dill pickle spear has around 5 calories.

I've found some great low calorie soups that make for good snacks or additions to meals also.

Most of subways 6 inch subs are between 2 and 3 hundred calories. Go ahead and plan on cutting out all mayonnaise consumption while on the diet, nothing but calories in that stuff. Subway also has some really good soups that are very low calorie.

You're going to be hungry at some point if you try 1000 calories a day. There's really no way around it. Anytime I got the urge to grab a handful of potato chips I just drank a huge glass of water. It's all about will power and control as any diet is.

I also made it a habit to write down everything I ate and how many calories were in it while I was on the diet. That seemed to help.

That right there is no fun lol. I always order my sandwich and then say LOTS of mayo and when I tell them to keep going, they look at me like I am crazy lol. I will just behave.

I am going to my moms this afternoon, and while I am there I am going to walk on the treadmill and weigh my self. I will have the weight this evening.

Last time I dieted, I was almost always hungry at night. It really didn't go away....but you get used to it I guess.

I like the idea of 1000 calories a day but...I am not going to be too strict with it. I am going to let that be my goal but give myself up to 1500. That's still a great goal for me b/c I am the one who will sit and eat half a bag of chips and then move onto the left over of the kids lunch lol, and then of course eat desert.

1000 calories plus my normal cup of coffee in the morning. I can't give up that so I am working it into my diet. That will be my snack persay. I really want lose 10 -15lbs. I don't think the hard part will be losing it. I think the had part will be keeping it off and staying motivated. I am the type that when I lose a bunch and love the way I look, then I stop dieting and working out. I lost about 20lbs when FF was over seas and I loved it. As soon as he got home, we were eating out a bunch and getting more food at the house and I let it all go. If I had to guess right now, I think I weight about 135. I will know that tonight.

I am short, only about 5'2. Is there a website that gives an ideal weight for a persons height? I want to make sure this is doable lol.

Try substituting mustard for mayo. Or, try buying a lowfat mayo, then mix it with herbs. I find you can use less, because there's more flavor. A really good "mayo" alternative is lowfat cream cheese, too. I take it and mix it with either pureed roasted red peppers, or sun dried tomatoes, and let it sit at least overnight. The flavor infuses through the cheese, and you can use a lot less to give a sandwich a kick.

I just ate some veggies and light ranch. That was yummy. Just having a hard time finding things to snack on and satisfy me. What about peanuts?

You are welcome. So I am thinking we need to start soemthing where we post things that help through this process. My biggest problem is food lol. I love to snack and eat here and there all day. I am not good an knowing wht is a good snack and good meals. So If people have things that they do to hold off splurging or favorite easy meals. Things like that. Even little exercises they do at home. I am not a member at a gym but I do have access to a treadmill. How does that sound?

Nuts are good in moderation. Try a handful of nuts with a piece of fruit.
