I agree Louisville has two very good teams. But across the board NKY is by far the best.

^ We have more than that....but we just don't have the broad range like you all do.

If we're talking about best as in diversity of strength amongst the classes, I'd give the nod to NKY for sure, but as far as "best" as it relates to specific teams, I still have to go with Trinity and thus Louisville. Further, if you knew how hard it is for me to use the words "best" and "Trinity" in the same sentence, you would know this isn't an easy thing for me to say.

The best teams in the state are Trinity and St. X. I really don't think there is any debate about that (sorry Highlands fans but it is true). I take best football to mean overall number of good teams and not just the best 2 or 3. Once you get past those two, I would say things are about even. Highlands does have 18 titles and Beechwood has 11 so you have to give credit there. Yes, Simon Kenton got torched by Trinity but they also beat Male. I really would like to see the N. Ky. 6A teams play more games against Louisville 6A. I think you may start to see that happen. I call it even.

No but I listened to it, they lost by 3 scores and I never heard anything that made the game seem overly in doubt or that HHS was being given all they wanted.

Maybe given all they wanted was too much... But they were given more then they wanted. Where as the Louisville teams were pretty much untouched... Which was the point I was getting at.

I watched it and it was the same storyline they had in most of their other games. Close for a half and then pull away in the 2nd half.

I think there are several teams in Louisville getting overlooked. Besides St. X, you've got Eastern, Ballard, Manual, and Seneca who all (to use a quote from a previous poster) would have given S-K "all that they wanted."

I would like to see how the populations of these "areas" compare. The way I look at the 'best' football would be to put together an area all star team and play each other. No idea who would win, but I'm a little biased like most in this thread are so I give the nod to NKy (way better from top to bottom).
