I do not dispute your position. MY point is that it would have to be the BIGGEST UPSET - unless someone could point out one more monumental.

Agreed, I said the same on the way home from Louisville Friday night.

Does anybody remember a few years ago when Ryle made the same "magic run" to the state championship, only to be embarrassed by the same team SK will be playing (Trinity). This one will turn out to be the same, close in the first half, blowout in the second. Trinity is too deep, and too well coached to let a one man team (SK-Miles Simpson) and it surely is one athlete who wins their games, I do believe Marksberry said it himself.... Sorry Pioneers, Trinity will show you 6A football....

SK plays as a team, sure they have a player who is good, but without the help of the other 10 players on the field they would'nt be were they are today.

That is no different than any other team.

I do remember a few years ago when Dixie won 14 to 10 against Trinity in 2004. I also was at the 2002 game when Trinity beat Dixie. Don't ever tell a football team they can't pull it off and win. Good luck SK!! YOU CAN DO THIS - BELIEVE !!! -

What is the over and under on the amount of pages this thread will be by game time?

How can over 37% of the voters pick Simon Kenton? Are there that many SK parents on BGP? I voted for Trinity just as I did in the T vs X poll. I would suspect that Trinity will win by a materially sizeable margin.

Until someone proves different, I assume that any team that is playing well enough to make it to the finals is playing well enough to win it all. I expect Trinity to win, but I don't think Trinity is any more of a favorite this year than X was in 2005, or for that matter this year. We all know how that turned out. I am very sure that Coach Beatty and staff will make sure that the Trinity players will prepare for this game as if THEY are the underdog.

Who knows how many BGP parents from SK are on the board. Maybe they are telling the boys to ignore BGP and listen to the coach's.

Actually the majority of those posting are not SK parents. Some are former players and some are just fellow Northern Kentuckians and a just a few are parents of the players.

NKY homers is all it is. They know deep down who will come out on top..... ;)

I think when you get to the state finals for the first time you are a different animal and the SK boys will play like they have never played before. Trinity playing in the state title game is business as usual. They have the experience and the studs but I am laying my money on desire for this one and I am calling a shocker.

SK 24

Trinity 20

This Highlands fan feels the same way. I believe Simon Kenton can do it.:dancingpa

I know - there is no Sandman32 on board anymore.

 Yes, and they're all Yankee's too right.

Here's why X is the obvious #2 team in the state:

If T goes up 28-7 at the half against S-K (which to me sounds about right), no way S-K can come back and make a game of it.

I'll say 48-7 Rocks.

Rocks go down in a close one....20-14 OT

Good Luck to both teams and I pray for safe game and travel from our friends from around the state.

Thanks Larry !!!!!!

I was waiting for you to pick against us. I knew you would come through for us!!
