Trinity just let Eastern run all over them tonight with backs that are good but not close to the X runners. Trinity will come to play on the O side but that D is going to lose this rematch for them. We have great kids on the the D side of the ball this year, it just kills me to watch such bad or lack of technique. As an old D guy for the Rocks my heart says we can but I have not seen the changes needed to stop or even slow the X offense this year.

The main thing going for Trinity is possible doubt in X's mind if the game is still close entering the fourth quarter. X is the better team this year but you never know. Good luck to both outstanding teams. This really is the championship game for 6A.

Another great matchup I think that X will win this one again but I could be wrong this is always better in the rematch for the team that got beat first it always seems.

Actually, just the opposite happened. It invigorated Ryle and their surrounding community to improve their program. The appearance helped increase their numbers tremendously. It also helped gain support for private donations to install turf and completely update and upgrade their field house, weight room, and locker rooms to rival any program in the state, in the near future.

They have also changed their offensive philosophy to a more balanced attack all with the intention of winning state titles, not just making appearances.

 

If the goal of KHSAA of rotating the district amongst the regions to create different match ups in the finals to better promote Ky. high school football and thus improve the overall level of programs through out the state, I think that they are succeeding.

X is the favorite, but Trinity has done pretty well for themselves the 2nd time around against the Tigers.

As much as I would love to see this and as much as X's offense has demolished everyone that has stood in their way, I just can't see X doing this to a rock team twice in one season. Bean is a great coordinator and win or lose the rocks will be much better prepared for the Tigers in this go-round.

 

Both of these teams would put a running clock on ANYONE in the lower bracket.:fire::fire:
