November 26, 200817 yr I have heard from numerous people that I believe in, that Deuce has chosen his college plans....I may end up being wrong, BUT.... UK, is the school with which I have heard, that Deuce will strap it up for.
November 26, 200817 yr Been hearing that for a while...Would be a huge get, as I think he'll be a monster in college.
November 26, 200817 yr UK commit David Simms, a RB from South Carolina, ahs changed his committment to Georgia Tech this week. GT apparently offered him the opportunity to play QB. Not only do the Cats sorely need a commit at RB, but this really would give Deuce a clear shot at playing time down the road.

This makes Finch an even bigger priority but I'm confident that we'll get him in the end. Thanks for the info!
November 26, 200817 yr Author ^ He had really been talking about Stanford for education. I will say this though, I think he could be an absolute monster on the defensive side of the ball.
November 26, 200817 yr I haven't seen him play, but I'm looking forward to seeing him in the Championship game, Dec. 13.
November 27, 200817 yr ^ He had really been talking about Stanford for education. I will say this though, I think he could be an absolute monster on the defensive side of the ball. What position? I didn't realize he played a defensive position as well. I thought he played RB exclusively (to be honest I didn't think X or T ran anyone both ways).
November 27, 200817 yr As a college coach, I would have a pressing concern about Deuce Finch. He has had numerous lower body injuries in his high school years and that does not project well for the pounding a running back takes in college. Out of the injury concern, I might recruit him to play on the defensive side on the ball. As far as being recruited by Stanford, I will say this. If Deuce Finch has achieved at an academic level which enables them to be accepted to Stanford University on a full scholarship, he ought to strongly consider it. That education and a degree from that university is worth millions of future earning dollars. A diploma from Stanford University will open a lot of doors for this kid in the future.
