Cribbage, Rook, Casino, Hearts, Spades, Bridge, Euchre

When I was a kid, my great aunt taught me how to play a game called "Spite and Malice", but I've long since forgotten how to play.

Cribbage, Rook, Casino, Hearts, Spades, Bridge, Euchre

I was taught Casino very young by my grandfather but you dont find anyone who knows how to play anymore. I taught my daughter years ago and we play all the time. She is really good. I would put her up against any man. She is "Little Casino" like Billy the Kid and Im "Big Casino" like Pat Garrett.

1. Gin - Hollywood style

2. Euchre

3. 31 with a large group

4. Chase the ace with the family

I love this one. We play it almost every holiday gettogether.

It's been so long since I've played that I've forgotten all the details, but my father and I used to play all the time.

Rook

Spades

Hearts

Texas Hold 'em

Love me some Euchre, especially round robin tournaments....

Also like to play poker with the old gang from work...

Like to play Hold 'Em with the young studs my son brings by the house every now and then.... easy pickin's for me most times.:D

Euchre is my all time favorite.

I've played countless hours of spades, rook, hand+foot, poker, black jack, guts:), 3 card poker, gin, I could go on and on. I haven't played cards in a long time but for some reason I've always been really good at cards. I can't tell you how many hours we spent playing cards my 1st couple of years of college in the dorms. Great memories!

If we studied all those hours, we'd all be doctors today! But dang it was fun.

Rook

Euchre

Hold Em

Ive played Rook with the 1s and without. I prefer with but either way is fun.

Pitch (5 point) - though very few play it around here, I don't think it is the same as "Buck Pitch"

Rook

Spades

Euchre

Any version of poker - I used to play quite regularly and actually played in the Main Event in 2001

Easily Euchre, played a ton the summer after I graduated HS. I'd come home from pooring concrete all day, be exhausted, and would just play online for hours at a time while watching tv.

It is an Ohio/NKY game and since this board has a strong NKY lean I expected it would be highly popular on here,

Actually, it's more of a general midwestern game. There's always a euchre game going whenever we visit family in Iowa. Spades, on the other hand, seems to be isolated to the south.

I was floored when I first went to WKU and nobody knew how to play euchre except a few L'ville natives and the folks from Evansville. All anybody wanted to do was play spades, which I played a lot, but hated. Always seemed pretty pointless to have to mess around with all those cards in your hand. Euchre is essentially the same game, except the trump rotates, and you only have to hold five cards in your hand.
