I am given to understand that cold weather has a way of adding to the embarrassment.

Reminds me of a joke. The neighbors always complain when I go to get the morning paper in nothing but my scivvies.

And the convenience store is only a couple of blocks down the road.

And I thought that only happened in my house

Knowing that when it ends, it signals the return of Mosquito season!!

I feel your pain.

If you've got the cash, a remote starter is well worth the cost.

I get up, go to my window and hit a button on my keys and the car starts. It's wonderful :thumb:

They aren't that expensive and are WELL worth it.

4 cars in our family. 3 car garage. Guess whose car gets left outside? (Though technically, I guess I could put it inside in place of my truck. But it's a company car and I care far more about my truck! :thumb:).

People around here who actually act like they are North Carolina fans.

Not sure what that really has to do with this thread or what it even really means but I'm definitley not an "actor" when it comes to my support of the Tar heels. I know you were not talking to me specifically obviously but just wanted to get that out in the air. BTW, why would one act like they are a fan of another team??? Someone being a bandwagon fan I can see but someone just acting like they like a team but they really don't??? Not seeing it...

The cold! I hate cold!

Wind chill factors especially blow. I hate whoever invented wind chill factors. Don't tell me how fargon cold it feels outside, it just T's me off even more.

I hate everything everyone else said about winter being dirty, dreary, and downright depressing.

I do give winter a free pass every year starting this week and lasting through Christmas, as The Holidays are the one time of year one should fill a good chill in the air. I still reserve the right to cuss to myself anytime I get into an ice-cold car, but by and large, winter and I have made peace during this ONE month season.

Winter time is basketball time, and since we have alot of basketball fans around and NC is rated number one in the country obviously there are alot of bandwagon fans. As far as them acting, thats exactly what many of them are doing. I bet many of the people who wear the hats or shirts couldnt name three players on the team. Next year they may have a new favorite team, absolutely not intended for the die hards such as yourself. I do respect loyalty win or lose.

But I guess I need to give a weather related answer so I will say the cold weather and everything that comes with it, with the exception of snow around Christmas.

The Weather !!!

Snow, not a problem. I HATE the cold weather. It's way too uncomfortable.

I hate winter. Hate snow, hate cold. Hate it!!! I hate Christmas as well. Call me a scrooge, but Christmas just isn't much fun for a 25 year old, single guy, who has no kids, and the only family I'm close to are my parents. Sorry, I just needed to rant...

These are all a tie for number one:

Ice

Snow that sticks to the sidewalks and roads

Cold

Wind-Chill

Leaving for work when it's dark, and leaving work for home when it's dark. It makes me feel like I have no life.

If I have to pick one, and only one, I'll go with ice. If anyone remembers my thread from last year about my slide down my front steps out into the street, you'll understand. :creepy:

You're one of the few people I know who can fall down a huge flight of concrete steps, land in the street in a pile...then get themselves up, dust off, and go right into work as if nothing ever happened. :thumb:

You probably still have bruises from that little stunt.

The only good thing about winter is basketball season!!!!
