Newport Central Catholic has to be the favorite from the eastern side of the bracket. They have beaten teams such as Beechwood, Ryle, Conner, Simon Kenton, etc. whereas the other main contenders do not have that many quality wins.

 

I would expect to see NCC to play DeSales for the regional title and Corbin to face either Middlesboro or Prestonsburg in the other, either one with their good running games would be a tough matchup for the Hounds this year.

 

The west will likely come down to a Danville vs. Fort Campbell final.

After all the players Corbin lost last year to even be in this thread is great. I look for the Hounds to make it to the semi-finals but not the finals. Home field advandage is huge in the playoffs.

I like Fort Campbell, but am going with Newport Central Catholic to win it.

You have to admit that Andrews and his shoulder could become a major storyline in this playoffs. Had they not missed a beat last week, they would be the favorite to repeat. But if Andrews can't go, they become very human very quick.

I couldn't agree with you more; you are correct without Andrews they are not the same. Antonio could have played and taken the team to 10 - 0, but the goal is the championship not the record. Coach Berner saved him for the playoffs and he will be fine.

This year's state champ will come from the east.

I think Danville will pick it up and surprise a few teams in the playoffs. I'll go with Danville to win it all.
